In an unanticipated turn of events, Aliens and Avengers are set to welcome a third combatant in their ongoing conflict. Renowned creators Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic have reunited for the epic clash titled “Aliens Vs. Avengers“. The series has already delivered a couple of issues filled with jaw-dropping moments, such as the introduction of Black Panther’s son and Spider-Man receiving a unique costume that combines symbiote and Xenomorph material. As more surprises unfold, it seems the X-Men will soon join the fray in this intense battle.
In a unique preview, ComicBook offers the first glimpse at issue #3 of “Aliens vs. Avengers” by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. The story kicks off with a focus on the X-Men antagonist Mister Sinister and some of his duplicates, who are scrutinizing and studying a tiny extraterrestrial being. Given his nature, it’s only fitting that a character like Mister Sinister should develop an obsession with alien beings and their genetic material. The direction of his schemes in the “Aliens vs. Avengers” epic remains uncertain.
Subsequently, Miles Morales, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man – some of Earth’s heroes who evacuated due to an alien invasion – seem to have traveled to another planet boasting futuristic architecture. An alert on Iron Man’s suit points out a notable location, prompting the trio to explore it further.
The team encounters a horde of Xenomorphs, prompting them to take immediate action for self-defense and engaging their adversaries. In this confrontation, Iron Man and Captain Marvel unleash energy blasts from their palms, while Spider-Man discharges webs. This spectacle is nothing short of awe-inspiring, but during the skirmish, one Alien manages to surprise Iron Man with an attack from behind, applying a chokehold. However, the situation quickly turns in Iron Man’s favor before the scene comes to a close.
In the third installment of “Aliens Vs. Avengers”, the Engineers prepare for a battle! Yet, in this universe filled with cosmic powers and genetically enhanced beings, the Engineers aren’t the only creators. As the Engineers strive to obliterate their own creations, Earth’s surviving heroes uncover a more urgent danger: the X-Men.
In the initial preview, only Mister Sinister appears as an X-Men-related character, but the summary indicates that the X-Men will appear more prominently in issue 3 of the joint series. Having witnessed several beloved Avengers, such as Captain America and Hulk, face danger in previous issues, we’re eager to learn about the X-Men’s experiences following a brief introduction in “Aliens Vs. Avengers” #1.
