Heinrich likens this structure to a versatile mobile platform, providing developers the opportunity to construct various artificial intelligence apps using a base specifically engineered for decentralization.
“We’ve built an operating system specifically for decentralized AI. Every part of the stack needs to be decentralized to ensure provenance, transparency, and trust.”
With the modular method, users can selectively integrate various components such as storage, processing, or comprehensive AI packages, providing flexibility to cater to diverse AI project requirements.
Why decentralized AI?
A substantial portion of the conversation revolved around the potential hazards associated with centralized artificial intelligence. Heinrich underscored the perils of AI being primarily developed by just a handful of companies, emphasizing that such control might result in unregulated power and possible abuse.
He underscored the significance of making artificial intelligence (AI) accessible to all, promoting fair distribution and mutual advantages. Such a change is crucial for aligning AI’s development with human values.
“There’s a large worry that if AI ends up in the hands of a few companies, too much is at stake. We’re trusting that they can align these models with human values consistently, but what happens if they don’t?”
AI simplifies Web3 user experience
In light of the increasing prevalence of AI agents and AI-based solutions within the Web3 sector, host Akyaw posed a question to the CEO of 0G Labs, seeking clarification on the growing excitement surrounding AI and their strategic shift in this area.
Heinrich outlined a concept where artificially intelligent entities would take over laborious tasks, providing smooth, automated alternatives like managing digital wallets, crossing virtual bridges, and executing exchanges (swaps).

“Imagine you have an AI agent and you tell it, ‘I want to buy this asset.’ It figures out everything for you — what’s the best route and the cheapest way to do it — and executes it in seconds or minutes.”
As per Heinrich’s viewpoint, this advancement might simplify the use of blockchain technology, potentially encouraging wider usage among a larger population.
