Ivanka Trump is showing her support.
On January 20, as her father Donald Trump took the presidential oath of office, accompanied by Vice President J.D. Vance, a 43-year-old woman named (Her Name), her husband Jared Kushner, and their children Arabella (13 years old), Joseph (11 years old), and Theodore (8 years old) watched this historic event unfold from within the United States Capitol.
Indeed, several members of the Trump family, such as Melania Trump (Trump’s current spouse), were present when Donald Trump, aged 78, was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. The group included Donald Trump Jr., who is 47 years old, and Eric Trump, age 41, both sons of Trump. These brothers, along with Ivanka, a former contestant on ‘The Apprentice’, were born to late ex-wife Ivana Trump. Also present were Tiffany Trump, aged 31 (Trump’s daughter), who is pregnant, and Barron Trump, aged 18, the youngest son. Accompanying them were Michael Boulos, Tiffany’s spouse, and Lara Trump, a co-chair of the RNC, Eric’s spouse.
However, although Ivanka has witnessed her father swearing-in on previous occasions, given that he served as the 45th president before his defeat to Joe Biden in 2020, this time she’s not there to join the administration.
Indubitably, Ivanka, who served as a senior advisor during her father’s initial term, has already expressed that she won’t be rejoining the White House for his unprecedented second term. Notably, Trump is one of only two presidents, following Grover Cleveland at the end of the 19th century, who have served two non-consecutive terms in office.
In the January 13 episode of “The Skinny Confidential’s Him & Her” podcast, he explained that his primary reason for not returning at this time is because he recognizes the expense involved, and it’s a burden he’s not prepared to pass on to his children.
And as her kids get older, she wants to prioritize time with them.
In a clear and natural manner, the sentence could be rephrased as follows: “Family is my utmost priority, and when my children were younger, I found it simpler to be less involved. However, as they grow into their teenage years, being physically present for them becomes incredibly important.
Working alongside her father during his first term reinforced that although she found pleasure in “policy and impact,” politics was not the realm where she belonged.
In my perspective, there’s an ominous aura to that realm I prefer to keep at arm’s length. As the daughter of an incoming president, I find myself right in the eye of the hurricane. It’s not a positive darkness, rather a heavy negativity. Some people seem to thrive on the combative nature of it all, the gladiatorial battles – something that never resonated with me.
