Ivanka Trump's Inauguration Ball Dress: A Tribute to Audrey Hepburn

Ivanka Trump was paying tribute to one fair lady.

At the 2025 Liberty Inaugural Ball, the 43-year-old made a striking appearance wearing a dress once owned by iconic actress Audrey Hepburn as she celebrated her father, Donald Trump, being sworn in for his presidency in 2025.

For the January 20th event, Ivanka made an appearance in a white Givenchy couture dress without straps, which had a belt at the waist and showcased intricate black floral patterns on the bodice and chest area. She accessorized with black satin gloves and heels, and wore a diamond tennis necklace.

However, Ivanka’s dress wasn’t specifically tailored for the Inaugural Ball. She attended the event with her husband Jared Kushner, her stepmother Melania Trump (who was the First Lady at that time), and her brother Donald Trump Jr. Interestingly, they are all alums of “The Apprentice” show, a reality TV series, along with Ivanka, Eric Trump, and their late mother Ivana Trump. Intriguingly, the designer dress that Ivanka wore was initially intended for Audrey to wear in the 1954 film “Sabrina”.

A snapshot from a timeless romantic comedy, posted on X’s page on January 21st, features Audrey, who was nominated for an Oscar for her leading role in the film, wearing the same dress accessorized with white gloves and black heels, arm-in-arm with her costar, Humphrey Bogart.

For Ivanka, the decision to honor the My Fair Lady star’s look was born out of genuine admiration.

Ivanka has found Audrey Hepburn personally inspiring for a long time, as stated by her representative to Page Six on the 21st of January. She considers it an honor to uphold her legacy in this manner and is deeply thankful to the team at Givenchy for making this tribute possible.

Without a doubt, Ivanka wasn’t merely making a style statement at the Inaugural Galas. She also donned an impressive outfit during her father’s swearing-in ceremony, where he was officially inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States.

For those celebrations, Ivanka – mother to Arabella (13), Joseph (11), and Theodore (8) with Jared – opted for a stylish forest green skirt and blazer ensemble, which she accentuated with a black waist belt. She completed her outfit with a coordinating hat and black leather gloves.

During his first presidency, she had served as his senior advisor, but it seems her political involvement might end with this term, as attending his inauguration ceremonies could mark the limit of her political activities this time.

Ivanka shared on the January 13th episode of the Him & Her podcast from The Skinny Confidential, her deepest value lies within family. She admitted that when her children were younger, it was simpler to be absent. However, as they approach their teenage years, being physically present holds immense significance.
