Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles Gets Launch Trailer Ahead of Release

Tomorrow’s release of the revamped version of the iconic action game “Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles” on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch is being marked by a fresh trailer, which you can watch below to commemorate its debut.

The brief preview offers a fleeting peek into the high-speed action of the game, where players can tackle levels inspired by “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” using various characters as options. To provide some historical perspective, the initial launch of this game dates back to 2000 and was available for both PlayStation and Dreamcast consoles.

In this side-scrolling game inspired by arcade action, players can participate in battles against a variety of droid types seen in ‘The Phantom Menace’. Additionally, several playable characters are available, ranging from well-known figures such as Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn, to lesser-known characters like Plo Koon and Adi Gallia from the Star Wars universe.

In this version of the game, certain unique characters such as Ki-Adi Mundi, Darth Maul, Queen Amidala, and even a Battle Droid are immediately accessible. However, in the initial release, players had to accomplish several tasks or challenges to gain access to these characters.

This game’s title includes a multiplayer mode that allows for local cooperative play via split-screen, accommodating up to two players as they tackle the game’s 10-level campaign together. Along their adventure, they can also engage in various bonus mini-games.

In the upcoming version of “Star Wars: Episode I – Jedi Power Battles”, players will enjoy some exciting updates such as the ability to choose between traditional controls or a fresh, contemporary control setup, a New Game+ mode for extended gameplay, entertaining cheat codes including Big Head Mode, and an array of new characters to play with, such as the Tusken Raider.
