One Piece Reveals Official LEGO Collaboration

In more straightforward terms: The Straw Hat Pirates’ fame has escalated significantly in recent times, and now they’ve reached the big leagues, as evidenced by their latest collaboration. Stunningly, it’s been made official that Netflix’s Live Action series is partnering with The LEGO Group to introduce new sets inspired by the Grand Line. Until now, fans have crafted their own LEGO versions of One Piece, but soon they’ll have the opportunity to build officially licensed sets.

For the second season of Netflix’s live-action series “One Piece”, a new partnership has been designed with specific elements in mind. Although exact sets have yet to be unveiled, there’s been a flurry of announcements regarding who will join the cast. As of now, nothing is confirmed about what fans can construct, but a Going Merry set seems plausible. In regards to the upcoming second season, “One Piece” enthusiasts might also anticipate LEGO settings for traditional Grand Line locations like Drum Island, Loguetown, Little Garden, and Whiskey Peak among others. Fortunately, both LEGO and Netflix have been open about their exciting anime collaboration.

Anime x LEGO: A Match Made In Heaven

As a die-hard Lego fan, I must say, this new partnership has left me quite astonished! You see, the Lego company isn’t typically known for diving into the world of anime. Yet, time and again, anime enthusiasts have dreamed up incredible Lego set ideas on “Lego.com” for series like Naruto, Attack on Titan, and One Piece. Many of us thought an anime collaboration was just wishful thinking… until today!

Lena Dixen, a Senior Vice President at The LEGO Group responsible for their core businesses, is thrilled about the partnership and can’t wait to set sail on the Grand Line for the first time. She expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “This collaboration is truly unique! For the very first time, LEGO play blends with the captivating realm of anime. Constructing the world of ONE PIECE, as portrayed in the Netflix live-action version, using LEGO bricks has been an exhilarating undertaking, and I can’t help but be eager for fans to embark on the new journeys this ONE PIECE collaboration will offer them for the first time. During our work with Netflix and Tomorrow Studios, it has been a stimulating, collaborative process, and I believe that is evident in all the grand adventures we’ll soon reveal.

I’m thrilled about our partnership with LEGO, a name that resonates strongly with creativity and the essence of playtime. This collaboration signifies a significant milestone as we embark on recreating the cherished manga’s escapades in the distinctive LEGO style for the first time. Every intricate step in the design process has been meticulously crafted to offer fans innovative ways to reenact their personal adventures across the Grand Line, brick by iconic brick.
