The final episode of Season 2 for SAS Rogue Heroes has concluded, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating what happens next as the team is shown boarding a plane destined for France during D-Day.
He commented: “It’s rather thrilling to find out what comes next. Granted, I already know what follows, and I guess for those who have read the books, it’s a matter of history and events that are recorded. In essence, there aren’t any surprises or spoilers left.
“But it just gets more and more exciting, to be honest, if we’re lucky enough to go to season 3.”
In response, Rowley commented: “I find it quite intriguing, as this seems to be leading towards the anticipated event known as D-Day. If there is another season, it would be captivating to delve into lesser-known tales.
Many individuals are unaware of the role played by various resistance groups during World War II, such as the Free French, the Belgians, among others, who united in their efforts to hinder the Nazi occupation and facilitate the Western Allies’ progress through France and Germany. Their contributions significantly influenced the course of events that followed.
Since certain tales seem too implausible, their characters seem implausibly strange yet intriguingly familiar, like the oddballs we encountered in our high school years. It’s as though the story is populated by these eccentric individuals. Consequently, it promises to be an exhilarating read.
What many people find hard to believe is that the ending scene, where he leaped off with the recorder, actually took place.
Additionally, there were some extraordinary actions recounted in the book that left me disappointed they weren’t included. For instance, Paddy Mayne strolled down the bustling central avenue pushing a cart filled with liquor, all while the area was under bombardment. It’s hard to believe such an incident wasn’t part of the narrative.
In his own words, the mastermind behind the series, Steven Knight, isn’t aiming for just another season of SAS Rogue Heroes, but several. His vision is to take the story all the way to the conclusion of the war and slightly beyond.
