Christina Haack is not missing Josh Hall on The Flip Off.

As a lifestyle expert, I can confidently say that stepping into the world of home renovation alongside my former spouse Tarek El Moussa and his lovely wife Heather Rae El Moussa without my ex-partner Josh by my side has truly been transformative for me.

On the January 28th episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, I shared with you, Jennifer, that it feels so liberating not having someone else constantly interfering. In essence, I no longer need to seek permission from anyone, and there’s no one exerting a burden upon me.

When the morning talk show host inquired whether she perceived a disadvantage competing alone in the home renovation project, she responded boldly, “Not at all, I believe I hold an edge instead.

Previously, it hadn’t been a unique occurrence for the 41-year-old to disclose details about the post-production period of the series without her former partner.

Christina shared with Us Weekly recently that working with Josh was challenging. “He just didn’t understand the process,” she said. “He’d often get frustrated with me, complaining about things like ‘You did this!’ or ‘You did that!’ And I’d respond, ‘I’m creating a TV show here.’

In the end, it turned out for the best that he departed following episode one, as the series wouldn’t have been very good with him in it.

As it happens, I’m not alone in my opinion. Even her co-star concurs that the show truly shines brighter when we exclude Josh’s negativity from the equation.

In the shared interview, Heather expressed, “I don’t want to sound unkind, but his personality wasn’t the strongest. It’s a relief, almost like taking a deep breath of fresh air. Christina seems to be doing very well.

Although Christina, who has children Taylor (14), Brayden (9) with Tarek and Hudson (5) with former spouse Ant Anstead, is striving to move past her ex, she recently disclosed that they are still far from reaching an agreement on their separation.

She mentioned on Jeff Lewis Live recently that a trial is imminent, as he’s not interested in mediation. It promises to be an exciting turn of events. I can hardly contain my anticipation.

During this time, Christina has chosen to move forward by having the tattoos associated with Josh erased. Additionally, she’s been jetting off on trips and stirring up dating speculations with telecommunications CEO Christopher Larocca.

Although Christina hasn’t made any public comments about her current relationship with Christopher, it’s worth noting that Christopher recently announced his new relationship with Stephanie Gabrys on Instagram only a few days prior.

On his Instagram story, Josh wrote ’35th birthday wishes’ accompanied by a picture of him with a model snuggled on his lap near a fireplace, saying ‘cheers to this real-life angel.’

As sparks flew, Christina and Josh began spending quality time with each other. A year after their initial date in March 2021, the pair decided to reenact that special moment.

During Christina’s birthday getaway, they both took a picture on the sandy shore and publicly announced their relationship on Instagram.

After several months, Christina made a statement for anyone giving her trouble, letting them know she will disable comments when she’s with Josh and would continue to do so if people act rudely. After Josh’s birthday celebration, it was made clear on the following day that Christina and him were not just any casual relationship but a strong, lasting one.

They had a fantastic time during the eerie season by going to Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Nights and enjoying the festivities together.

Just a few months later, they marked their first Christmas together.

A few days before the announcement of her and Josh’s wedding, Christina posted on Instagram, ‘I prayed for a man who embodied masculinity yet treated me like royalty.’ Her message was clear: ‘Never lose hope.’

In April 2022, it became public knowledge that Christina and Josh had secretly gotten married. They officially sealed their union with a wedding in Hawaii, which took place in September of the same year. Christina expressed her joy on Instagram by saying, “I exchanged vows in front of our loved ones. Everything in life has guided me to this very moment, where I am exactly where I want to be – with my soulmate on the most beautiful island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an unforgettable night filled with love.” However, it was later discovered that they had actually tied the knot in October 2021.

The real estate agent honored the HGTV star on her birthday with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, describing her as his stunning wife who continually impresses him and continues to achieve great things. He expressed his gratitude for being able to share this journey in life with her, and shared his belief that her forties will be the best decade of her life, as she continues to look fabulous.

Christina and Josh stepped out for a beach day with her French bulldog Cash and his dog Stella.

Josh posted on Instagram, “We’re still holding our ground… Here are some memories from the last three years: March 2024 – March 2023 – March 2021 – March 2021.” (Implied meaning: We’re still going strong.)

Instead of Josh filing for divorce from Christina due to “irreconcilable differences,” we could say that they ended their marriage because of disagreements that proved impossible to resolve.

Christina, when organizing her records, mentioned the same cause as Josh, yet she didn’t concur with his stated separation date of July 8. Instead, she recorded July 7 as the day they parted ways.
