Alan Partridge Tackles Mental Health in New Series

Steve Coogan has revealed that the upcoming season of “Alan Partridge” has completed filming, incidentally disclosing a shift from the initially proposed title.

Earlier, the BBC revealed that the show will bring Alan back to his native Norfolk following a stint of work overseas in Saudi Arabia for a year. However, he seems unable to get rid of an ongoing sense of disquiet.

The summary hints at an intriguing message likely to cause a stir: “‘Alan Partridge here, and things aren’t going well for me.’

This morning on BBC Breakfast, Coogan discussed the upcoming release of his factual Channel 4 series titled Brian & Maggie. He emphasized his continued affection for comedy and hinted at an imminent return as his famous character, Alan Partridge.

He shared that he recently completed filming another series featuring Alan Partridge. As for when it will be released, he couldn’t provide an exact date but hinted that it’s coming up soon. The title is “How Are You?” and it delves into a significant topic: the state of mental health in our society; a subject he handles with his characteristic humor.

The production of “And Did Those Feet…” has been in the works for quite some time now; initial reports about its development date back to as far as August 2019. However, it wasn’t until May of the previous year that filming finally began.

The production was carried out in southeastern England, where the BBC’s comedy director, Jon Petrie, expressed his confidence that “Steve Coogan and writers Neil and Rob Gibbons have outdone themselves once more.

He went on to say: “Exploring the condition of the nation (as well as Alan’s mental state) using Alan Partridge’s distinctive perspective will undoubtedly add another brilliant layer to the already unforgettable legacy of the UK’s most revered comedic character.

“This series will firmly cement Alan Partridge as a national treasure.”

Currently, Coogan plays the role of broadcaster and political interviewer Brian Walden in the production titled “Brian & Maggie.” This series features Harriet Walter, who has previously starred in shows like Succession, Wolf Hall, and Silo, taking on the character of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
