Dave Grohl’s family united to the tune of love.
At the FireAid benefit concert held in Los Angeles on January 30, the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, along with his wife Jordyn Blum and their 18-year-old daughter Violet, graced the stage together.
In his initial appearance after disclosing he had a child outside of wedlock, the 55-year-old artist was accompanied by his ex-bandmates from Nirvana, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, for the first time since 2020. This unexpected reunion took place during a Los Angeles wildfire relief fundraiser, where they performed some classic Nirvana tunes such as “Breed,” “School,” and “Territorial Pissings.
As Dave went back to playing the drums, reminiscent of Nirvana’s days, Violet unexpectedly joined the band on stage for their last song of the night, “All Apologies.” In videos posted online, it was clear that Dave was grinning and rocking out behind his drum kit, accompanied by his daughter.
At a performance, the former members of Nirvana – notably their lead vocalist Kurt Cobain who passed away at 27 in 1994 – were joined by artists such as St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, and Joan Jett, with each taking turns to sing during the show.
Violet often shares the spotlight with her father on stage. Back in 2023, she teamed up with the Foo Fighters for a performance at the Glastonbury Music Festival.

In September, it was disclosed that Dave, who has two daughters – Harper, aged 15, and Ophelia, aged 10 – with Jordyn, admitted to infidelity. He issued a heartfelt apology to his wife of 21 years and their children for the transgression.
He announced on Instagram on September 10th that he has just become a father to a child born outside of his current marriage. He intends to be a nurturing and helpful parent for her.
He expressed that he cherishes his spouse and kids deeply, and is making every effort to rebuild their trust and seek their pardon. We are thankful for your understanding and compassion towards all the children as we navigate our shared journey ahead.
