The latest third-person shooter from Rebellion, Sniper Elite: Resistance, made a strong entrance in the UK’s physical game sales charts by claiming the top spot upon release.
Approximately 80% of the game copies sold in retail were from PS5 and PS4 versions, which is a remarkable achievement, causing popular titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to drop to third place.
Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V is the highest it’s been in weeks at number six.
As for PlayStation games in the top 10 rankings, they are exclusively Nintendo-published titles and Minecraft’s Switch version. Games like EA Sports FC 25, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Hogwarts Legacy, and Astro Bot narrowly missed the cut and are located just outside the top 10.
