Marvel Studios unveiled an intriguing sneak peek for their highly-anticipated film, The Incredible Four: Initial Strides. This teaser trailer marks a fresh, big-screen take on some of the most cherished figures from the world of comics.
The extraordinary team consists of Reed (played by Pedro Pascal) and Sue Richards (Vanessa Kirby), her brother Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things), along with colleague and friend Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
During an unfortunate mishap in space, the team acquired their diverse extraordinary powers – stretchiness for Mr Fantastic, invisibility for The Invisible Woman, flight and fire control for The Human Torch, and immense strength and toughness for The Thing.
In 1961, the Fantastic Four first appeared in comics, marking the beginning of Marvel’s current interconnected universe that exists today. However, it’s worth noting that certain characters like Captain America and Namor existed before them.
It took a while, but it wasn’t until later stages of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that these characters could be introduced, as back then, the movie rights were held by 20th Century Fox.
In my perspective, the concerns over the creative direction of the Fantastic Four film series vanished once Disney took ownership of the studio and the related intellectual properties. This move set the stage for “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” a movie masterfully directed by Matt Shakman, the same visionary behind WandaVision.

In different words, the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four has experienced ups and downs in live-action adaptations. They initially appeared on screen in 1994 through a low-budget, unpublished movie produced by Roger Corman.
About 10 years after an initial less-reputable effort, the cast of Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis took on leading roles in the 2005 release of Fantastic Four and its subsequent sequel.
In their latest appearance, Deadpool and Wolverine acknowledged the current version of the series by making a significant guest appearance, even though the second installment of it received strong criticism from Marvel enthusiasts due to an unpopular portrayal of Galactus.
In 2007’s “Rise of the Silver Surfer,” the infamous interstellar antagonist was depicted as a drab scattering of cosmic dust and debris, rather than his iconic helmet-shaped like a crescent moon and vibrant purple attire.
The regrettable past experiences stemming from that unfortunate creative decision are what makes anticipation exceptionally high for the authentic comic book appearance of Galactus in “First Steps”, a hint of which is subtly shown at the end of this trailer.
In a new take on events, the character played by Ralph Ineson (from Nosferatu) assumes the role of an ancient cosmic entity. This entity dispatches its messenger, the Silver Surfer, from the depths of space to the surface of a planet. The purpose is not one of peace; instead, the entity intends to consume the planet and its surviving inhabitants once the Silver Surfer has completed his mission.
