Take-Two Interactive has made public their latest financial report, confirming a Fall 2025 release for Grand Theft Auto 6, yet there are other updates regarding the game’s schedule. Notably, Borderlands 4, developed by Gearbox, has shifted its launch from before April 2026 to being released within the year 2025 on the calendar.
Although this statement doesn’t provide an exact launch date, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick hinted to Variety that a release date is imminent, stating “You will know soon, and everything will be clear.” Gearbox might disclose it in the near future, possibly along with fresh gameplay previews.
This year will see the release of “Mafia: The Old Country” by Hangar 13, keeping it on schedule for its earlier announced summer debut. Keep an eye out for further updates until then.
The highly anticipated Borderlands 4 is set to release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. This new installment takes place on a fresh planet, Kairos, which promises to be the most perilous yet expansive setting in the series. Players will have the chance to control four new Vault Hunters, while enjoying local split-screen co-op gameplay. Additionally, there are billions of weapons and accessories to acquire throughout your adventure. Although not explicitly stated as an open-world game, Gearbox has confirmed the inclusion of open-world elements, such as seamless travel between locations.
