SNK previously said they would share updates on the second season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves soon, and now we have our first look! It appears Kenshiro, the popular character from Fist of the North Star, will be a playable fighter in the game.
This announcement came as a surprise, and although it hasn’t been formally confirmed, the short preview video strongly suggests what the Japanese studio is planning.
The trailer doesn’t show Kenshiro directly, but we see a boot that looks like his walking towards Geese Tower. Later, when some thugs corner two kids, a hand suddenly appears with electrical effects and sounds fans will recognize.
The addition of guest characters to the newest Fatal Fury game has been a bit divisive, especially with some fans upset about Cristiano Ronaldo being included. However, we think most players would be much more excited to see Kenshiro join the fight in South Town.
We can probably expect Wolfgang Krauser from Fatal Fury 2 to join the game, as hinted at last year. Season 2 will also include several other popular characters from SNK.
