Spider-Man and His Son Team Up in Black Suits Against Sinister Six

Upcoming installments of “Ultimate Spider-Man” comic series introduce a new character who assists Peter Parker in his battles against the Sinister Six. The events in Ultimate Universe have placed immense pressure on Spider-Man, leading to his capture by Kraven the Hunter. This series has distinct differences from other Spider-Man comics as Peter Parker is portrayed as a married man with children. Previously, we’ve witnessed variations of the black symbiote suit, a heroic Green Goblin, and the reappearance of Uncle Ben. However, the upcoming transformation in “Ultimate Spider-Man” will present an unprecedented scenario with not one but two Spider-Men collaborating together.

As a diehard cinema enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Marvel has unveiled solicitations for their Ultimate Universe comic series lineup. Among them is “Ultimate Spider-Man” #17, penned by Jonathan Hickman and illustrated by Marco Checchetto. We’re now in the second year of this revamped Ultimate Universe, and this year holds a significant event: the return of the Maker, who engineered this unique version of our universe.

The five continuous titles within the new Ultimate Universe will each react uniquely to the Maker’s comeback. In “Ultimate Spider-Man”, we find a violent turf war erupting in New York City as the Sinister Six clash with both Peter Parker and his son, Richard, who are donning the Spider-Man suit.

Conflict Erupts in New York: The Sinister Six Are Turning Against Each Other! But don’t worry, Spider-Man isn’t tackling this issue alone… Find out about Richard Parker in the Black Suit! In Ultimate Spider-Man #13, fans were introduced to Richard Parker wearing the black suit as he stepped up for his father. Since Peter and Harry Osborn are held captive by Kraven the Hunter, Richard has been using the black costume to mislead villains, thinking that Spider-Man has gone missing for a month.

It’s likely that Peter isn’t thrilled about his son finding himself in perilous scenarios, but he has a high-tech black suit known as the picotech suit serving as his protector. This modernized version of the black symbiote suit is equipped with an artificial intelligence system that reflects Peter’s personality and offers Spider-Man’s signature inner dialogue. The black suit acts as Richard’s guardian, preventing any harm from befalling him. Intriguingly, it seems that even after his father returns, Richard continues to wear the suit.

It’s worth pointing out that the Green Goblin doesn’t appear to be part of the plot in Ultimate Spider-Man #17, as hinted by its solicitations. Harry Osborn has been teaming up with Peter Parker to bring down Wilson Fisk and his Sinister Six, but following his capture by Kraven, it seems that the Green Goblin’s situation might not be ideal. Interestingly, the cover of Ultimate Spider-Man #17, illustrated by Marco Checcheto, features either Harry or Norman Osborn reflected in a shattered and flaming Green Goblin mask. The figure in the reflection strongly resembles Norman Osborn, the artificial intelligence persona within Harry’s Green Goblin suit.

Regrettably, the cover of issue #17 from Ultimate Spider-Man doesn’t show our two Spider-Men engaged in action, which Marvel is probably keeping secret to build anticipation among fans. However, it seems that things must be quite serious for Peter and Richard to team up. This will be Richard’s debut into the world of superhero combat as he squares off against Black Cat (Felicia Hardy), who seeks retribution against Spider-Man due to his actions that left her father, the original Black Cat, disabled.
