Tonight’s WWE RAW showcased the concluding qualifying bouts for Elimination Chamber. Earlier in the event, Roxanne Perez secured her spot in the Elimination Chamber for the first time. The main event was the second qualifier fight between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, which turned out to be an intense battle between these two stars. Regrettably, it included a bungled ending that left many spectators confused, potentially undermining what was intended to be a climactic finale.
During a crucial moment in the contest, Rollins executed a pedigree on Balor and immediately tried to pin him down. As the audience and referee counted up to 3, it seemed like Balor had been defeated. However, just shortly after, Balor managed to kick out, surprising both the commentators and the crowd. But when the referee announced that Balor had indeed kicked out, Rollins’ victory claim was swiftly changed.
As a devoted moviegoer, I must admit that I wasn’t too pleased with the turn of events, and it seemed the audience shared my sentiment, echoing their dissatisfaction towards the referee as he clarified the situation. I made it clear I wasn’t on board, even delivering a DX chop to underscore my discontent. The match managed to pick up again, but the hiccup certainly took a toll on its energy level.
In the final stages, the two stars skillfully turned the tide through an exciting series of reversals and holds, and eventually, it was Rollins who clinched the victory with a decisive pin. Check out the action from about 2 minutes and 10 seconds into the video above.
I’ve secured my spot among an extraordinary lineup for the upcoming match, which includes Damian Priest, Logan Paul, John Cena, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre. The tension is already palpable due to the histories between Punk, Rollins, and McIntyre. As for Logan Paul, it remains to be seen who he’ll align with in this gathering of superstars. I can hardly wait to see how this diverse group interacts and competes!
Tonight, Perez managed to clinch her place in the Elimination Chamber event, which features a strong lineup including Perez, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan. Given that Perez recently battled with Bayley during the Fatal 4-Way at Vengeance Day, there’s some recent history between them. However, most of the current storylines revolve around Liv Morgan.
Apart from her ongoing conflict with Bliss, following the elimination of Bliss during the Rumble match, Morgan is also embroiled in a deep-seated rivalry with both Bianca Belair and Naomi. A recent video suggests that Morgan, alongside Raquel Rodriguez, may have been involved in an attack against Jade Cargill.
Regarding predictions for WrestleMania matches, various outcomes are possible for each contest. Some of these scenarios could lead to spectacular showdowns. For the Women’s Championship, whispers suggest that Bianca Belair might challenge Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania, creating a truly epic confrontation. If WWE chooses, we may witness Morgan securing victory to conclude their feud once and for all. Bliss is another contender, particularly if WWE aims to swiftly integrate her into the main event scene.
In the Gentlemen’s locker room, both Cena and Punk are strong contenders for the title fight, with Cena hinting at this possibility following the Royal Rumble. If things go as planned, he might challenge Cody Rhodes for the championship match. However, it seems challenging to imagine a scenario where Punk isn’t part of it, making him a potential winner too. Rollins is another name in the mix, and he could potentially square off against Rhodes at WrestleMania.
