Finding a gift for someone who seems to have it all can be tough. Apparently, Arnold Schwarzenegger has found a solution.

Chris Pratt, who is married to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine and shares three children – Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 14 months – recently revealed a unique and heartwarming gift his family received from him.

Chris shared on The Graham Norton Show that her husband, Arnie, shows his love by giving extravagant gifts. She mentioned one particularly memorable gift: a large six-by-eight-foot painting of their three children and Arnie dressed as Santa Claus.

He confidently stated it was “the most beautiful portrait you’ve ever seen,” and described it as both incredibly realistic and large in size.

Chris Pratt, who also has a 13-year-old son named Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris, said the situation felt overwhelming. He joked that they weren’t sure how to handle it for the rest of the year.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, father to Katherine (36), Christina (33), Patrick (32), Christopher (28) with ex-wife Maria Shriver, and Joseph (28) with Mildred Baena, has said he’d like to share his affection for his son Chris (presumably Christopher) through a movie.

Arnold explained to TopMob News last June that while he’d be open to a project if the script was excellent, they couldn’t force a movie to happen just by bringing certain people together without a strong story. He emphasized the importance of a good script, saying you can’t create a movie ‘just’ by combining talent.

Chris isn’t the only actor in the Schwarzenegger family these days. Following Patrick’s successful role in the recent season of The White Lotus, their father is now open to the possibility of acting with his son.

As Arnold put it, “Whenever I see something good, I am interested in it, so we will see.”

The 78-year-old expressed how proud he was of Patrick’s work on the Mike White series while speaking at the Sun Valley Film Festival last year.

He told Jimmy Kimmel in 2022 that being a grandfather is easy: “They come over, you play with Lyla for a couple of hours, maybe let her play with the horse or the dog, and then they leave!”

Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger married in 1986, but divorced in 2011 after Maria discovered Arnold had a child with another woman. Despite the split, their son-in-law, actor Chris Pratt, praises how they co-parented their four children while in the public eye.

Born in 1993, Patrick Schwarzenegger is the eldest child of Arnold and Maria Schwarzenegger. While he acknowledges the advantages of having famous parents, he also credits his brother-in-law, Chris, with helping him land a role in the Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List. Patrick recalled Chris advising him to gain 20 pounds and undergo tactical training to convincingly portray the character of Donny Mitchell, even arranging for him to train with real Navy SEALs, which he called a dream come true.

Since then, Patrick’s acting career has continued to grow, with roles as Saxon Ratliff in The White Lotus and Tim Tebow in FX’s American Sports Story. Katherine Schwarzenegger is the oldest of Arnold and Maria Schwarzenegger’s children, born in 1989. She’s now a mother herself, having married Chris Pratt in 2019 after a year of dating. They have three children together: daughter Lyla, born in 2020, Eloise, born in 2022, and son Ford, born in 2024. Katherine has said becoming a mother felt like the culmination of her life’s journey and that being a mom is a role she always dreamed of. Chris also has a son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris, who was born in 2012.

Chris Pratt prioritizes family above all else. However, he was hurt by the negative reaction he received in 2021 after publicly praising his wife, Katherine, for their healthy daughter. Some people online found the post insensitive, considering his first child, Jack, was born prematurely.

Jack, the son of Anna and Chris, was born prematurely in August 2012 and needed care in the NICU.

The actress fondly remembers bringing her son, Jack, home from the hospital, though his early years involved numerous doctor visits, five surgeries, and physical therapy. Despite the challenges, she says Jack was the most adorable child she could have asked for. Now a teenager, Jack still seeks guidance from his parents, which Anna finds reassuring. In an interview, she shared that when Jack asks for her advice, it confirms she’s parenting in the right direction and makes her incredibly proud of him.

 

Katherine and Chris welcomed their daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt, in August 2020, just over a year after their wedding. Lyla’s middle name honors Katherine’s mother.

Chris generally keeps his family life private, but he shared that his son Jack was already being a wonderful big brother. He told Entertainment Tonight in 2021 that Jack is very patient with Lyla, even when she tries to pull his glasses off, and is a ‘great big brother.’

In March 2022, Chris and Katherine Pratt welcomed their daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt, into the family.

Christopher Schwarzenegger, the youngest son of Arnold and Maria, and Christina Schwarzenegger, their youngest daughter, are both forging their own paths. Born in 1997, Christopher has largely stayed out of the spotlight, focusing on philanthropic work as Vice Chair of the Special Olympics Founder’s Council. He also works in development at Indus Valley Media and previously gained experience at Malka and with sports psychologist Trevor Moawad. Joseph Baena is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, born from an affair with his housekeeper, Mildred Patricia Baena, in 1997. Although the affair happened in 1996, Arnold didn’t discover he was Joseph’s father until years later. He initially tried to keep it a secret, admitting in his 2023 documentary, Arnold, that he only began to suspect the truth as Joseph grew older.

Arnold has described the affair as a significant mistake but emphasizes his pride in Joseph. He wants Joseph to know he is loved and accepted, stating he’s become an exceptional young man.
