Wow, Season 4 of The Traitors has been absolutely wild! First we had a hidden Traitor, then the drama between Fiona and Rachel, and now there’s this new development that might actually help us Faithful figure out who’s secretly betraying us. I’m on the edge of my seat!
So, I was watching the latest episode last night, January 9th, and the team started their new mission, but things didn’t quite go as planned – there was a bit of an unexpected complication that threw a wrench into everything.
Claudia Winkleman spoke to the contestants, explaining that the task would require them to honestly examine their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as those of their fellow players.
She explained that each team would now follow a different path through the castle woods. Along the way, they’d find mirrors that would ask questions about the other players still in the game. The answers to these questions would come from the questionnaires everyone completed the night before.
Winkleman explained that the prize money would increase by £500 for every correct answer. Plus, the team with the most correct answers would get a special reward: access to the castle’s Walled Garden and the chance to speak with the Traitors.

Following a challenging mission, Rachel, Roxy, Matthew, Faraaz, and Harriet were allowed into the garden, and then Claudia told them what to expect next.
Each player had a mirror they could break. If the mirror produced smoke, the player gained the ability to communicate with the Traitors. Otherwise, they couldn’t talk to any Traitors.
Rachel, Harriet, and Matthew broke the smoking mirrors. As a reward, they were told they’d get to ask the Traitors two questions after the roundtable discussion, in a private confession at the castle.
But whether the Traitors will tell the truth, that is something else…
You can continue watching season 4 of The Traitors on Friday, January 9th at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. If you missed any earlier seasons, the first three seasons are also available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
