Around a month since Bravo disclosed that a cast member from The Real Housewives of Orange County would be returning for the upcoming 19th season, Gretchen and her long-term partner Slade Smiley have expressed their genuine feelings regarding revisiting reality television.

At the Keep Memory Alive’s Power of Love Gala held in Las Vegas on February 22nd, I couldn’t help but share my enthusiasm with TopMob News. It’s an absolute joy for me to express that we are genuinely thrilled about what’s coming up!

Moreover, Slade pointed out, “Now is the ideal moment. She genuinely maintains friendships with most of the women beyond the filming and production aspects. We have strong bonds with many of the ladies. I’m looking forward to that aspect for you.

Indeed, it’s clear that a lot has transpired in the lives of the couple since we last caught up with them during season eight, approximately ten years ago.

Slade, aged 51, mentioned that they have a child who is five and a half years old, named Skylar. He explained that she’s the one in charge, acting more like a teenager at times, as if she were five but with a fifteen-year-old mindset.

Gretchen added that she can’t wait to share their new chapter with fans.

Reflecting on this latest chapter in our lives, the 46-year-old shared, “I believe everyone is aware of my deep desire to become a parent. Therefore, it’s exciting to imagine how our journey into parenthood unfolds with Slade and me.

Regarding the amount of screen time Skylar will have when shooting starts, Gretchen explained that we might not see her frequently, but she will certainly show up in some scenes.

Regarding the ensemble of familiar faces making a comeback, specifically Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, and Katie Ginella, Gretchen expresses no apprehension about diving into the whirlwind of group conflicts.

The reality TV personality openly acknowledged, “It feels a bit enjoyable not to feel anxious about anything anymore.” They continued, “I’m simply being true to myself and that’s who you’ll see on screen. If others appreciate or not, it doesn’t matter.

Since we last saw them on television, Gretchen and Slade are now engaged. Could it be that a wedding during Season 19 might be in their plans?

“You never know,” she teased, while Slade chimed in with, “Absolutely no reason for us to not to.”

There’s another woman who sought fame so fervently that she intruded at a White House gathering. More about her will be discussed later on.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

Utah’s second season Housewife, Jennie, ended her run rather dramatically due to a misstep. In January 2022, she was dismissed following the reemergence of controversial and racially insensitive Facebook posts from her past. Later on, she expressed regret for her actions, but the harm had already been inflicted.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

As a die-hard fan, let me share my take on that: In season 16, the Orange County doctor was more like a calm oasis amidst the storm. Her brief marital hiccups with Ryne (or was it Ryan?), though not exactly gripping, were barely a blip on my radar. But boy, oh boy! One moment I’ll never forget is Dr. Jen letting loose and getting tipsy on wine at the Dubrows’ dinner party. It was as awkward as a three-legged dog at a cats’ convention, yet somehow, it was wildly entertaining!

The initial period of work for the anesthesia nurse might be succinctly described with a term we fervently hope to never encounter again: The unfortunate incident known as “Esophagus-affair.

Katie often spoke passionately about her charitable endeavors, yet didn’t seem to do much else on camera. She was essentially a one-time appearance, offering little in terms of ongoing contributions as a cast member. Cutting the cast trip short? That’s definitely not advisable for a ‘Housewife’.

During the two seasons she spent as a full-time Housewife, it was hard to miss Charrisse’s marital issues, which were quite prominent. Alongside this, her champagne room is another notable aspect of her time on the show.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

In season 12, it was refreshing to observe some diversity with Peggy among the predominantly white cast of the O.C., yet her presence became rather irritating. The conflicts she instigated were peculiar, frequently revolving around misunderstandings over words that she didn’t comprehend. Moreover, her choice to isolate herself in her room for an entire day during the trip to Iceland demonstrated that she might not be well-suited for the Real Housewives lifestyle.

Instead of developing a connection with Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo during season eight, Nneka’s storyline for her debut season revolved around an allegation she made about Wendy’s mother being a witch (incredibly, this is true). It’s a shame we didn’t get to see them bond over their shared heritage instead of engaging in conflicts without resolution.

In the 16th season, Noella whirled about like an energetic whirlwind. Despite her husband, James, abandoning the country and filing for divorce just before filming began, which added a touch of personal intrigue, it was her ongoing turmoil with queen bee Heather Dubrow that kept her from sinking to the very bottom. Perhaps given more time and another season, we’ll grow fonder of Noella Bergener.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must admit that I’ve never witnessed such a swift descent from grace on the Real Housewives platform as I have with this particular cast member. From maintaining harmony in her debut season to escalating complaints over a misthrown dessert and allegations of baseless anti-Semitism in her final (and regrettably last) stint, it’s truly remarkable to observe such a shift in just two seasons.

Everything Amber and her spouse Jim appeared extremely anxious and hasty in their actions. Moreover, it seemed like Jim played a larger role in the unfolding events compared to Amber, which didn’t reflect well on them.

What stands out about Karen is that she was a dentist, and from the looks of it, none of her colleagues appeared to have a fondness for her. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Among the relatively short-term cast members on Real Housewives of New York (RHONY), Jules didn’t stick around long enough for a top spot due to the brevity of her tenure. Yet, she undeniably brought plenty of excitement and drama during her time on the show.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina represented a versatile, accomplished Arab woman who skillfully combined contemporary lifestyle with age-old cultural customs. She managed to steer clear of most of the first season’s turmoil and at times found herself in the shadows due to her co-stars’ more prominent and boisterous personas.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but exclaim that Taleen was simply the cherry on top of the second season of RHODubai! I eagerly anticipate delving deeper into her story.

For seasons 11 and 12, the longtime contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” was associated with a peach, but she didn’t leave a lasting impact on the realm of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” except for being pregnant for most of her time there. However, she did earn kudos for her brilliantly delivered read of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo.

Normally, we require observing multiple seasons before ranking a new Housewife higher. However, Katie made an impressive debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against long-time Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It takes courage to challenge someone as high-profile as Ms. Fancypants.

Sara’s sunny, insightful perspective on life was indeed delightful, yet lacked the usual doses of conflict (except for the instance when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited parenting advice that wasn’t well-received). However, this tech entrepreneur broke barriers and defied expectations about what it signifies to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and we commend her for it.

The newcomers on the 13th season of RHONJ seem to embody the typical Jersey Housewife, and they promptly engaged in a season-long squabble over something insignificant that Andy Cohen considered futile during the reunion. Sadly, these former friends didn’t add much depth to the show throughout season 14.

In the initial season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact and departed from the series. However, when RHOM returned for its fourth season in 2021, her narrative shifted significantly to revolve around her former friendship with Kim Kardashian. (Additionally, she became known for selling revealing foot photos on OnlyFans…)

After appearing as a Bravolebrity for a single season, she participated in the twelfth season of ‘Next Food Network Star’ in 2016. However, she was unsuccessful in that competition as well.

Sadly, she seemed to serve merely as an object for Brandi Glanville’s verbal attacks. Moreover, her motto, glorifying the unpleasant idea that being excessively thin is acceptable, was distasteful.
