Sony has largely stopped participating in gaming conventions, yet it continues to invest energy in developing markets such as China.
Moving on, it’s been revealed that the organizers will be setting up a significant presence, or “large exhibition space,” at the ChinaJoy 2025 event taking place in Shanghai next month. This expo is renowned as one of the largest gaming expos globally.
The significant turnout of approximately 360,000 people at last year’s event makes it a valuable chance for PlayStation to showcase its console to potential customers, emphasizing the importance of this opportunity.
As of now, specific games haven’t been mentioned that will be played there, but it’s reasonable to anticipate that significant titles like Lost Soul Aside might be playable at the event. Since Lost Soul Aside is a notable Chinese-developed game, it seems plausible. Other potential contenders could be Where Winds Meet and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
The event is scheduled from 1st to 4th August, so keep an eye out for updates around the beginning of next month.
Interestingly enough, it seems that the organizer won’t be present at this year’s major gaming event, Gamescom, implying maybe a hint about their current focus areas.
