Supernatural Stars Reunite: The Winchester Boys Are Back!

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that I, along with my fellow Supernatural alums, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, have officially teamed up once more with our former costar, Jensen Ackles, for season five of The Boys. This exciting news was announced on their official social media platforms on February 26th.

In a recent Instagram post, Jensen – formerly known for his role as Dean Winchester on The CW series – expresses, “It seems we have tasks ahead once more.

Standing beside a car resembling the black Chevy Impala from Supernatural, the iconic Devil’s Trap image visible behind it, Jared receives and understands unmistakably the message from his past on-screen partner.

Alright, I’m about to spill it to Misha, you know, the man behind Sam Winchester at age 42,” I exclaim, then continue with a hint of urgency, “Misha, old buddy, there’s some unfinished business between us – work that needs attending to!

Even though Misha, known for portraying angel Castiel, showed eagerness to join, he inquired, “What’s our plan?” or simply, “What’s on the agenda?

As The Boys’ social media caption put it, “Season 5 just got a bit more supernatural.”

Though it appears the trio won’t be chasing demons, they stand prepared for any surprises in the upcoming season finale.

Following Soldier Boy actor Jensen’s addition to the cast in 2022, “The Boys” creator and showrunner Eric Kripke (also known for creating “Supernatural”) has expressed readiness to involve some of his previous colleagues.

In an interview with TopMob News in June 2024, he expressed that he wouldn’t hesitate for even a moment to include Jared on the show. He explained that while Jared is quite occupied with his business in Austin, if given the opportunity, he would immediately invite him onto the program.

Since Jared was the lead in “Walker” for four seasons until it was taken off the air last year, their respective schedules didn’t match up until recently.

Additionally, the reunion is particularly heartwarming for Jensen, as he had once poignantly reminisced about his emotional departure from the Supernatural cast following 15 years together.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in June 2022, the 46-year-old expressed that their show had been running for a considerable time. However, he strongly emphasized its success by saying, “It was simply wonderful.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express why our bond remained unbroken – it was simply the joy we found in it. It felt like a family, a tight-knit crew bound by shared experiences and a common feline spirit. We endured so much together, and as the journey reached its bittersweet conclusion, saying goodbye was heartrending. Yet, we all felt it was something we had rightfully earned.
