Some Of The Most Highly-Anticipated Upcoming Stephen King Projects Are TV Shows

Several exciting projects based on the works of Stephen King are planned for the future, and many of the most anticipated ones will be TV shows. The upcoming adaptation of Carrie by Mike Flanagan is a prime example, as is his planned series based on The Dark Tower, though that one is still some time away. Both will be released as TV series.

J.J. Abrams is developing a television series based on Stephen King’s novel Billy Summers. Separately, Paul Greengrass, known for directing the Bourne movies, is working on a TV show adapted from Stephen King’s Fairy Tale.

Season 2 of The Institute will build on the story from Stephen King’s book, and It: Welcome to Derry is planned to return for another season. With so many Stephen King shows in development, it’s clear that TV adaptations of his work are now more common than movie adaptations.
