Core Keeper – Bags and Blasts Update Arrives on March 10th, Adds Largest Boss Fight Yet

After receiving widespread praise following its exit from early access in August, Pugstorm’s game Core Keeper is set to receive a substantial free update named “Bags and Blasts“. This update will go live on all platforms starting March 10th, introducing the largest boss fight of the year – Nimruza, the Queen of the Burrowed Sands. You can watch the announcement trailer below for more information.

In addition to exploring, players may stumble upon a fresh environment within the Desert of Origin known as the Oasis. This area is home to the Drohmble, a creature resembling a camel, whose resources will be instrumental in crafting weapons for mid-to-late game combat. Furthermore, a new set of skills focused on Explosives and an assortment of novel bomb types are being introduced. The Explosive skill tree offers eight distinct abilities, while the bombs themselves range from Void Bombs to Blunder Bombs, with grenades now serving as a brand-new weapon category.

In the latest update, the “Bags” section now offers “Pouch” options to store items like seeds, fish, minerals, and valuable goods. This new feature helps declutter your inventory by segregating these items into a separate compartment. Additionally, you have the freedom to select which row of this pouch will appear on your hotbar for easier access.

Fresh additions such as Garden Trowels, armor sets, weapons, additional items for off-hand use, and workbenches like the Laboratory Table are coming soon, so keep an eye out! The game Core Keeper is now accessible on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. For a review of the main game, click here.

Meanwhile, as Core Keeper continues to receive updates, the developers at Pugstorm are simultaneously creating a fresh side-scrolling sandbox game called Kyora. Currently, it’s scheduled for early access, but the specific release date is yet to be determined.
