As a devoted admirer, I’m excitedly sharing that His Majesty King Charles III has graciously unveiled a personal soundtrack to mark Commonwealth Day, an occasion that takes place on the 7th of March during our annual celebrations.
King Charles personally introduced a playlist, known as the Royal Musical Chamber, which was compiled right here at Buckingham Palace.
In the video introducing his new project, he shares that music holds significant importance for him throughout his lifetime,” he mentions, as this venture is a joint effort with Apple Music.
It’s not just me; it does the same thing for countless others too. It possesses a unique talent for stirring up joyful memories that we thought were long forgotten, providing solace during hard times, and transporting us to far-off lands.
He further adds: “Perhaps, most importantly, it has the power to uplift our feelings so significantly, especially when it unites us for a festive occasion. To put it simply, it brings about happiness.
This playlist encompasses a variety of genres, ranging from classic reggae, modern pop, all the way to Afrobeats. Notable musicians featured are Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Davido, and Raye, as they each have a track on it.

Previously, members of the royal family have collaborated with Apple on projects. For instance, Prince Harry worked together to produce the mental health docuseries titled “The Me You Can’t See”, while Prince William was involved in the Apple Fitness+ series called “Time to Talk”.
On March 10th at 1am Eastern Standard Time, the King’s Music Room debuts on Apple Music 1. It’s accessible for everyone to tune in, but if you want to save the playlist and listen later, you’ll require an active Apple Music subscription.
