In the coming Spring of 2025, “The Shiunji Family Children,” a fresh series by the creative mind behind “Rent-a-Girlfriend,” is set to debut. Ahead of its anime premiere next month, a new trailer and poster have been unveiled. As the Spring 2025 anime lineup draws near, a new wave of anime is gearing up for their premieres, and this series stands out as one of the most distinctive. What makes it particularly intriguing is that it is based on an original manga from Reiji Miyajima, the creator of “Rent-a-Girlfriend,” and will be produced by the same studio responsible for “Oshi no Ko,” Doga Kobo.

What to Know for The Shiunji Family Children Anime
The Shiunji family’s children are set to premiere in Japan on April 8th, although their international distribution plans remain unconfirmed at this point in time. Ryoki Kamitsubo will helm the series for Doga Kobo, with Noboru Kimura taking charge of the scripts, Miki Muto designing the characters, and Akki, Ginnojo Hoshi, and Shota Horie contributing to the music. The voice actors for the Shiunji family have already been revealed prior to its release.
This anime’s voiceover team consists of Yuichiro Umehara as Arata Shinji, Chika Anzai as Banri Shiunji, Mariko Kono as Seiha Shiunji, Rie Takahashi as Oka Shiunji, Hana Hishikawa as Minami Shiunji, Kana Ichinose as Kotono Shiunji, Chiaki Kobayashi as Shion Shiunji, and Masaki Terasoma as Karame Shiunji. In addition, the popular series Rent-a-Girlfriend is set to premiere this Summer along with Season 4 of the anime. Fans of the creator will have plenty to anticipate for the remainder of the year. However, this show stands out from previous works in a unique way.

Speaking of the anime’s plot, Kadokawa hints at “The Shiunji Family Children” like this: The Shiunji family possesses a lavish mansion in an upscale neighborhood of Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. Residing within are seven siblings, renowned for their intelligence and good looks, with the five sisters born consecutively in one-year intervals being particularly admired for their beauty. Coexisting under one roof with these envied beauties, the eldest brother, Arata, finds himself dominated by his unique sisters and uncomfortable around females other than them.
The plot progresses as Arata dreams of a life distinct from his five sisters, despite deeply valuing his family. Later on, an astounding truth is revealed by their father, causing a shift in Arata’s destiny. The unbreakable bond he thought they shared starts to show cracks. Will this love evolve into family ties, sibling relationships, or something unexpected? A humorous tale unfolds about a complex family bound by fate and forbidden romantic feelings.
