The trailer for season three of Euphoria has officially dropped and we have never, ever been happier.
However, the main characters on the popular HBO show might not be doing so well. The recently released trailer hinted at difficult outcomes for Rue (Zendaya), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Nate (Jacob Elordi), Lexi (Maude Apatow), Jules (Hunter Schafer), and Maddy (Alexa Demie).
The trailer opens with Rue reflecting that life isn’t quite how she imagined it a few years after high school, and we see her still involved with drugs. However, it hints that things might be getting better.
She recalls that, for the first time, she started to feel hopeful while sitting in a church.
Things get complicated when a drug boss named Laurie (Martha Kelly) demands Rue repay a debt. As Rue tries to find the money—and gets stuck in the middle of a conflict between two rival drug lords—the trailer also hints at what’s happening with her old classmates from Eastland High.
Cassie and Nate are planning to get married, but Nate is upset because Cassie is posting revealing photos and videos online. He feels it’s damaging to their relationship, saying he works hard all day while she’s publicly displaying herself in this way.
And while Lexi and Rue both lament being single in one scene, Lexi teases, “You hear about Jules?”
It seems Rue’s ex-boyfriend is now supporting himself in a similar way to others, as Maddy observes that many young women she knows are ‘sugar babies.’ Maddy herself appears to be working as a stripper.
The new season will also introduce fresh faces, including a character played by Darrell Britt-Gibson, who delivers a chilling line: “I believe some people are cursed. I don’t know why, but there has to be something wrong with them.”
Oh my god, it’s happening again! The trailer just confirms it – these guys can’t catch a break! We get these quick glimpses, and it’s just… intense. Nate’s all beat up, like seriously injured, and then Rue, Rue, is holding a machine gun! A MACHINE GUN! And Maddy’s throwing bottles, which, honestly, feels so on brand for her. But the worst part? Seeing Rue running for her life. It’s terrifying, and I need to know what’s happening!
The new season, arriving in April, jumps ahead in time after the events of Season Two. We’ll see the characters from Euphoria as young adults navigating the challenges of adulthood.
The trailer shows that even though the characters have graduated high school, the series will still be full of drama. In fact, the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, believes this upcoming season will be the best one so far.

The director confirmed to Variety in a December 2025 interview that Cassie and Nate will indeed get married, promising viewers an unforgettable wedding night.
The director explained that Jules is an art student who’s anxious about becoming a professional painter and really doesn’t want to grow up. Maddy is working in Hollywood at a talent agency, but she’s also pursuing other projects on the side. And Lexi is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, who the director described as wonderful and a legend.

The star of Casino is joining the cast, and she’s one of several new faces! Grammy-winning singer Rosalía, former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, and Kadeem Hardison from A Different World are also joining the project.
Sam isn’t the only one from the show Euphoria sharing information about the new season. Sydney recently told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that her character is going to be even more intense this time around.
And she has one major piece of advice.
At December’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles, Sydney playfully told reporters to “hold on to those dildos.” She also hinted that her character will experience a lot of emotional moments, saying, “It’s Cassie, what do you expect?”
With the excitement building for the new season of Euphoria, here’s a look at some other shows premiering this year.

I’m completely hooked on this story! It all started with these incredible true tales of people just trying to live in the toughest part of London back in the 1880s. Now, a year on, it’s heartbreaking. Hezekiah? He’s barely recognizable. And Sugar… poor Sugar is falling apart, pushing everyone away with the drink.
