Tarsier Studios revealed that everyone who buys Reanimal will receive a ‘Friend’s Pass.’ This allows the owner to invite a friend to play the game with them, even if that friend doesn’t own a copy.
Similar to games like It Takes Two and Split Fiction, Reanimal lets you team up with a friend in co-op mode, and only one of you needs to buy the game. If it works like Hazelight Studios’ games, your friend will be able to download a free “Friend’s Pass” to join you in the game.

Reanimal comes out on PlayStation 5 on February 13, 2026. Tarsier Studios is working on a ‘Friend’s Pass’ feature, letting others join your game, but they can’t confirm if it will be available right at launch. If it works like in games such as It Takes Two and Split Fiction, the only downside is that your friend won’t be able to unlock trophies while playing with you.
Reanimal is a game inspired by Little Nightmares where you play as a brother and sister working together to save their friends from a mysterious island. It can be played alone, or with a friend either locally or online.
