Teddi Mellencamp has a positive update amid her cancer journey.
Approximately three weeks following the announcement from a former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” that her stage 4 cancer (initially diagnosed in the brain and later affecting the lungs) had progressed, she expressed delight at the positive outcomes of her current treatment regimen.
Teddi shared on her April 23 Instagram post that she’s wept earlier, but now she’s completed all scans, and to her delight, the doctors have confirmed that her tumors have noticeably reduced in size. This reduction is leading them to believe that the treatment will be successful, and soon she’ll regain her health and vitality.
She added, “I have just two more rounds of immunotherapy left. After that, I’m hoping to be finished and completely cancer-free.
In a remark, the 43-year-old individual, who was told by physicians that her chances of survival are roughly equal (50/50), also emphasized her decision to remain hopeful and positive regarding the promising outcomes she has received.
Teddi said, “I’m planning to maintain a hopeful perspective, as that was the encouraging tone my doctor took with me. He essentially said, ‘You’ve done well, you can do this. With your Mellencamp lineage, you’re strong.’
As a devoted follower, I’m sharing an update from the reality TV star, who is a mother to Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5). She shared in her latest post that all her tumors have either shrunk or vanished. Despite this good news, she intends to proceed with her planned treatment course as advised by her medical team.
Teddi mentioned that she has about 6 weeks left of immunotherapy. The doctors are optimistic that she’ll make a full recovery if things continue as planned.
For Teddi, the positive development serves as a refreshing break after she openly discussed the emotional strain her fight against cancer, triggered by the discovery of multiple brain tumors in February, has caused her.
She expressed to ET during their April 17 interview that she fears they may not comprehend the intense pain I endure on certain days. Leaving them without a mother is truly terrifying, she added, as her children are still quite young.
