In recent times, due to its immense popularity, Vampire Survivors has given rise to numerous other “bullet-heaven” style action games.
Among the games developed by Game Smithing is Soulstone Survivors, which has been in early access on Steam since November 2022. In this period, it has sold more than a million copies and boasts a Very Positive rating. Now, as it moves towards its full release, one of the exciting developments includes a PS5 version.
The game is scheduled for launch on June 17th, 2025. It shares similarities with Vampire Survivors in terms of genre, but it boasts a distinct artistic approach and incorporates unique features in its gameplay mechanics.
As you traverse the maps, your actions trigger automatic assaults on numerous foes, while gathering precious gemstones to earn experience points along the way.
As you progress, you’ll have the option to select from multiple passive enhancements and potent skills, gradually building up your power until you transform into a formidable force.
As a gamer, I’ve found that strategically combining my selected power-ups can create some interesting interactions. It appears that building a setup where these enhancements work together synergistically is a crucial aspect of the gameplay.
Beyond the actual gameplay, there’s a large, ever-growing tree of lasting enhancements for you to gradually conquer, featuring 22 unique characters to unveil, various starting weapons to create from scratch, and much more.
