Becca Kufrin Opens Up About Battling Postpartum Anxiety After Baby’s Arrival

Becca Kufrin is reflecting on her motherhood journey.

Approximately two years following the appearance on The Bachelorette, this former contestant became a mother to her first child, 18-month-old Benson, with husband Thomas Jacobs (age 32). She recently opened up about her journey through postpartum anxiety and bonding with her newborn.

In a conversation with Momcozy on April 24, Kufrin admitted that she hadn’t anticipated the combination of factors such as sleeplessness, fluctuating hormones throughout her body, breastfeeding, and pumping. These elements certainly had a significant impact on her, particularly during the initial weeks and months. I can honestly say it felt like I was in a daze or lost consciousness.

Despite being swamped by these significant transformations, the 35-year-old acknowledged that Thomas, her husband whom she married in October 2023 following a two-year relationship, provided stability and support during this challenging period of her life.

She went on to say, ‘He wasn’t experiencing the surge of hormones, but he was there for me during everything else, and that support meant a great deal.’

During her husband’s comforting gestures, Becca found herself acutely aware of how deeply her postpartum experience was impacting her emotions. Intriguingly, she admitted that for the initial two months following Benny’s birth, she wept five times a day without fail, a fact that surprised her given her usual reserve when it comes to tears.

She shared that she’s struggled with anxiety throughout her life, but it intensified when she became responsible for another person. At one point, Thomas suggested, “Becca, you should keep cleaning, don’t focus on anything else. When Benny sleeps, organize everything. Just rest.” But she replied, “I can’t. I can’t shut off my thoughts.

Eventually, the previous ‘Bachelor’ star followed her husband’s guidance, finding solace in maintaining a clean and organized household, which gave her a sense of control as she navigated her mental health challenges.

To fellow moms grappling with postpartum depression, OCD, or anxiety, allow me to extend a heartfelt assurance: You’re not on this journey alone. It’s been an unpredictable yet profoundly rewarding experience for me, and I can hardly imagine my life without my precious Benny. I’ve come to learn the importance of releasing control slightly and embracing the support that’s offered.

On his first night in the Bachelor mansion, Grant Ellis might have crossed paths with 25 possible romantic interests, but it was Juliana Pasquarosa who ultimately received his final rose. As they look forward to their upcoming wedding, the bride-to-be shared her most important preference for their special day.

In an interview with TopMob News last March 2025, I shared my heartfelt belief: the essence of any gathering, regardless of location or appearance, lies in the embrace of love and the presence of family. For me, it’s not just about the activities; it’s about cherishing the moments we spend together.

Status: Engaged

Following her premature exit from Gerry Turner’s season on The Golden Bachelor, Joan Vassos moved on to become the star of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. It was during this stint that she encountered and became engaged to contestant Chock Chapple.

In the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan expressed her optimism about love, stating, “We are living proof that no matter what life throws at us, there is always hope, even at our age.” This was followed by Chock’s heartfelt proposal in Bora Bora. “I have waited for this moment in this beautiful location to tell you that I love you,” he said. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you in the morning and kiss you goodnight.

Status: Split

In the season finale of “The Bachelorette” (season 21), it seemed like former “Bachelor” contestant Jenn Tran had found her perfect match with final choice Devin Strader. However, it was disclosed on “After the Final Rose” in September that shortly after filming ended, Devin, aged 28, began to distance himself from Jenn, who is 26 years old.

During the September 3rd show, Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer that the man she was involved with had been expressing strong declarations of love one day, only to completely change the next and act as if he had never felt any affection. She added that all the assurances and affection he had promised her were nowhere to be found.

The events became more complex as Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram, detailing his perspective and expressing accountability, along with explaining the reasons behind ending the relationship during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.

Instead of claiming that he ended their relationship over the phone in August as Jenn asserted, he stated that Jenn asked him about his problems during the call, and he had been trying to figure out how to tell her in person.

He said, “I wasn’t quite sure what other option I had,” explaining that he had planned to discuss it with her face-to-face. “In essence, she made me take action.

After that, Jenn made her way towards the stage of Dancing with the Stars, and there’s a strong possibility she found herself drawn to her dance partner Sasha Farber. They’ve been fuelling romance speculation ever since their elimination on October 29th.

Status: Split

In November 2022, Greg Grippo (a former suitor of Katie Thurston on The Bachelorette the previous year) appeared alongside Victoria Fuller in the finale of Bachelor in Paradise season eight. During their time there, they confirmed they were in a relationship. However, in April 2024, he disclosed that the relationship had ended.

Prior to Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealing their relationship during the final episode of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ season 8, Victoria Fuller had broken off her engagement with her fellow cast member Johnny DePhillipo.

Status: Divorced

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023 at the end of the first season of ‘Golden Bachelor’, and they officially got married during a live broadcast wedding in January 2024.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

During their interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry explained that they have had many deep discussions and carefully examined their circumstances, including their living situation. He went on to say that after much consideration, they both agree it’s likely the right moment for them to end their marriage.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

In April 2025, Gerry disclosed during the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he had started a new relationship and things were progressing positively.

Relationship Status: Enaged
In a long pursuit of 32 potential partners, tennis player Joey Graziadei finally found his ideal partner in project manager Kelsey Anderson.
“I can’t delay any longer to express my love for you,” Joey said to the recipient of his final rose during the season finale on March 2024. “There is something about you that captivates me. You possess an infectious energy that brings a smile to my face, a sensation I have never experienced before.”
Envisioning their forever with Kelsey, he added, “I’ve always dreamed of having a beautiful life, but it wasn’t until I met you that I truly understood how extraordinary that life could be.

Despite not initially connecting during season nine of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo decided to take a chance. During the show, he proposed with an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond, expressing his feelings for her: “I’m going to try something different today. My heart tells me that you are amazing, you are everything I’ve been searching for.” However, just days after the season finale, they announced that their career goals were not aligned and their paths would diverge. They shared their gratitude for the love and support they received from family, friends, and ‘Bachelor Nation’.

State: Separated

Despite her apprehensions about a proposal in Paradise, elegantly attired Eliza Isichei (formerly Clayton Echard’s girlfriend), beamed with joy as Aaron Bryant popped the question at an oceanfront location. Moved by Aaron’s thoughtfulness in consulting her mother for approval, she exclaimed, “I had no idea what words would come out of my mouth next.”

The closing scenes of the finale hinted that Eliza and her ex, marketing manager Charity, had encountered some difficulties post their Mexico trip. A few days later, they officially announced their separation.

“Navigating complex feelings as I watch these events unfold,” he posted on Instagram in December 2023. “We are parting ways amicably, with nothing but goodwill and mutual respect towards each other.

In this scenario, the status could be rephrased as:

Despite initial reservations about Aven Jones’ reluctance to propose as he had previously done with Rachel Recchia, Kylee Russell eventually agreed to his proposal during Bachelor in Paradise, choosing to leave their problems behind and make things work. However, just two days after the finale aired in December 2023, she revealed on her Instagram Stories that their relationship had ended due to multiple instances of infidelity. Aven later issued an apology to Kylee, acknowledging his mistakes and the pain he caused her.

Charity Lawson playfully shared her satisfaction with the current season’s outcome in an interview with TopMob News, a sentiment that fell short of expressing her grand August 2023 finale. In a romantic gesture reminiscent of a fairy tale, integrative medicine specialist Dotun Olubeko dropped to one knee and declared their love as “perfect,” proposing, “Will you accept my proposal to make this fairytale come true?”

Though their future happily ever after is yet to unfold—with plans for a 2025 or 2026 wedding in the works—Charity will first grace the Dancing With the Stars ballroom. “Alright, darling,” Dotun enthusiastically told Charity on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose. “I know you love to dance and have fun. We’ve talked about how incredible this opportunity would be for us. And I am thrilled to announce that you will be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars! Let’s do this!

As a diehard fan, I can confidently say that Zach Shallcross will have his fairy-tale ending! Despite a few bumps along the way during Fantasy Suite week, Zach dropped to one knee in March 2023 and proposed to travel nurse Kaity Biggar. The love he expressed for her was beyond anything he could have ever imagined: “You are my world. I am so deeply in love with you.”

Fast forward to July 2023, and this Texas-based couple took their relationship to the next level by becoming official roommates! They’re currently busy planning their October 2025 wedding vows. Here’s to wishing Zach and Kaity a lifetime of happiness together!

The current status: Split

In simpler terms, despite appearing to be a perfect match for Bachelor Nation, Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who both experienced heartbreak before joining the show, called it quits. A year after moving from Nashville to Ohio to be with each other, Allio announced their breakup on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast in September 2023. He expressed that it was a painful experience when their relationship didn’t work out, as they had both invested a lot into it and had envisioned a future together. The end of their relationship meant losing not only each other and the friendship they shared, but also the future they had hoped for.

Brandon Jones declared his affection for Serene Russell during their appearance on season seven of Paradise, stating, “I’ll love you until the end of time, until my final breath, and I want to spend eternity with you.” Unfortunately, their union was short-lived. Five months after their engagement aired, Brandon (a runner-up from Michelle Young’s season) and Serene (who had courted Clayton Echard) revealed that they had parted ways in a joint statement issued on Instagram in May 2023. “Navigating our relationship privately has been extremely difficult in the public eye,” they wrote, expressing their pain over the split and requesting understanding and kindness from their followers.

Status: Separation

Rachel’s relationship with general contractor Tino Franco hit a roadblock when he was seen kissing another woman during their 2022 season broadcast. “I in no way condone my actions,” he admitted on The Viall Files. “It was wrong, unfair to Rachel, and it continues to weigh heavily on me every day. It’s something I deeply regret and would change if I could, given the opportunity, countless times over.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, allow me to share my insights on a recent turn of events. In the whirlwind that was the 2022 finale, I, Susie Evans, found myself turning down the proposal from Bachelor Clayton Echard. However, an unexpected twist unfolded off-camera, where we reconnected, only to part ways again six months later.

Reflecting on this journey, I am confident that our decision was the right one. Surrounded by loved ones, they could see that my radiance had begun to fade, and I was no longer flourishing as I should be. In a heartfelt post for my blog “Susie Was Like,” I penned down my feelings, acknowledging that while we shared many joyous moments, deep within I was grappling with struggles and feeling out of sync with the best version of myself.

In the summer of 2024, I found myself in a relationship with Justin Glaze, a familiar face from Bachelor Nation. However, we eventually parted ways in August of the same year.

The situation: Michelle, a teacher from Minnesota, received an engagement ring and a $200,000 check for their future home from Nayte Olukoya, a Texas-based sales executive, on the reality show they both appeared in. However, after six months following the season finale in December 2021, they announced their split.

On “The Viall Files,” Nayte admitted to having numerous disagreements and arguments with Michelle. He acknowledged that not having a face-to-face conversation to end things was insensitive.

Later on, Michelle began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they announced their engagement the following year.

As a lifestyle expert, I must say that the dynamic duo of Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian truly captivated us with their vision of leisurely Sunday mornings during their time on ‘BIP’. However, just like a beautiful sunrise fades, our beloved couple from season seven could only spend a handful of weekends together.

In a joint statement issued in January 2022, they announced their decision to part ways. It’s an unexpected turn, but they’ve reached a stage where they both require personal growth and self-discovery. Maurissa, the compassionate patient coordinator who found herself with Peter Weber, and Riley, one of Tayshia Adams’ suitors, have decided to walk separate paths for now.

Status: Split

The initial same-sex couple from Bachelor Nation got engaged during the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise”, but they revealed their separation in October 2019, which was on Halloween.

They mentioned in a shared post on Instagram that love and concern for each other have always been central to their relationship. Their primary focus has been ensuring the best outcome for both parties. With deep affection for one another, they’ve made the difficult decision to step away from their relationship temporarily. In essence, they seek what’s best for them in the long term, and at this point, that means growing separately as individuals.

Current Status: Engaged

In a slight twist, it wasn’t paradise lost for Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer. Despite parting ways during the seventh season of the BIP, they discovered that their connection was something profound and eternal. After initially setting up home in San Diego, they recently made a significant move by purchasing a property in Tulsa, Noah’s hometown.

Abigail excitedly announced their new venture on Instagram in July 2023, saying “About to enter our Chip and Joanna Gaines era because your girl bought her very first house!!!” She continued, “Excited to start our next chapter and for all the memories we’ll create here!!” The couple is now planning their wedding, which will be the beginning of a new era filled with love and happiness. Noah popped the question at a beachfront San Diego home in August 2023 before their move, marking the start of their journey together.

In informal and conversational language: Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, formerly contestants on The Bachelor, decided to tie the knot in a low-key ceremony at City Hall in New York City, about a year after their stint on “Bachelor in Paradise.” They’ve planned a bigger wedding for September 2023, but couldn’t resist exchanging vows earlier. Serena, now co-hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her new spouse, shared the news in an October 2022 post: “Just Married!! We’re still having a big wedding next September, but who wouldn’t want to get married twice?

In a heartfelt declaration, Kenny Braasch, a renowned boy band manager, expressed his deep affection for Mari Pepin as he placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the finale of Paradise in 2021. “Mari, I am so utterly in love with you,” he said. “I can’t imagine my life without you.” Subsequently, the former Maryland beauty queen, who had initially captured Bachelor Matt’s attention, relocated to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago and began planning their lifelong journey together. Before their oceanfront wedding in Puerto Rico in November 2023, they symbolized their eternal love by getting matching tattoos during a vacation in the Bahamas in May 2023.

Status: Married

Previously on Bachelor in Paradise season seven (2021), Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs, one of Katie Thurston’s suitors, started dating, broke up during the show, but later reconciled after filming ended. In May 2022, they announced their engagement, with Becca proposing to Thomas. Speaking to TopMob News, she expressed hope that others would feel empowered to break traditional rules. True to her words, in October 2022, Thomas reciprocated the proposal. Their first child, son Benson, was born in September 2023. Becca shared on Instagram, “Our love for this tiny man is immeasurable.” Only a few weeks later, they decided to tie the knot in a sudden October 13 ceremony.

Status: Split

In the final episode of season 17 of “The Bachelorette” in 2021, Katie got engaged to Blake Moynes. Their romantic moment occurred during their overnight date that included a paintball adventure, a cowboy soak, and a heart-to-heart talk under the night sky, where they expressed their love for each other.

Bending down on a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You’re worth the whole universe, and I can’t wait to stand by your side and be there for you each and every day from now on.

Three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the couple revealed their separation. In harmonized statements, they expressed, “We are deeply thankful for the precious moments we experienced together and the incredible journey that unfolded throughout this past year. However, we’ve come to understand that we aren’t suited as life partners, and it is the kindest decision for both of us to move on separately.”

Now, she is betrothed to comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated

Since Matt, graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell, who were together during his 2021 season (and subsequently broke up and reunited), have been the subject of numerous breakup rumors.

“I believe everyone should take a break from social media,” Matt exclusively shared with TopMob News at a July 18 Baskin-Robbins event. “Our lives are so often lived through our phones that when anyone steps away from their phone for a while, people think it’s the end of the world.”

Despite this, Matt stated in May 2022 that marriage was still the goal for them.

“I think the positive aspect of our relationship is we move at our own pace,” the author of First Impressions: Off Screen Conversations With a Bachelor on Race, Family, and Forgiveness shared with TopMob News in May 2022. “And you’ve seen with other couples—they rush into engagement and they’re no longer together. So, I think we have a successful approach and will reach our goal.”

However, less than three years later, Matt announced that he and Rachael had separated.

“Father God, give Rachael and I the strength to heal our broken hearts,” the reality star wrote on Instagram Jan. 16, 2025 alongside a throwback photo of them on The Bachelor. “Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that goes beyond worldly understanding. Show kindness and love to our friends and family to console us. And remind us that our joy comes from you, Lord.”

Status: Split

Following her role in wrapping up Clare Crawley’s 2020 run on The Bachelorette, Tayshia found herself smitten with Zac Clark. Despite exiting the show with an engagement, it was later disclosed by the former lead-turned-co-host that their relationship had its fair share of highs and lows.

Speaking honestly on the “The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous” podcast in August 2021, she admitted that it can be challenging to be in a new relationship and then have to leave for a couple of weeks.

Following that incident, it seemed as though we needed to recall the reasons for our relationship. And indeed, such a reflection is quite typical. However, in November 2021, TopMob News reported that they had parted ways.

Status: Split

During season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” Clare became deeply smitten by Dale Moss. Intriguingly, they were engaged just four episodes into the series. However, the surprises didn’t cease as weeks later, after Tayshia took over and secured her own engagement, Dale announced on social media that his relationship with the hairdresser had ended.

In the whirlwind of my fandom, I can’t help but share the rollercoaster journey of Clare and Dale. Months after igniting reconciliation whispers with a public outing, these two lovebirds found themselves back in each other’s arms by July 2021. After multiple heartwarming reunions, they seemed to have their happily-ever-after – complete with a sparkling ring!

However, fate had other plans for the pair. By September of the same year, they parted ways once more. But fear not, dear fans! Clare has since found her forever partner in Ryan Dawkins. The two are now overjoyed to announce that they’re expecting their first child together – a beautiful daughter who will undoubtedly capture our hearts just as Clare did!

Status: Split

As a dedicated fan, I had high hopes for Peter after his brief engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss and later split from Madison Prewett. However, fate seemed to have other plans, as my romance with Kelley Flanagan, the outstanding contestant from The Bachelor season 24, didn’t work out. On New Year’s Eve in 2020, the pilot himself announced that our nine-month relationship had come to an end.

Pete shared on Instagram, “Though our bond was rich with many cherished moments, our connection ultimately didn’t sustain, but Kelly remains someone I hold a deep affection towards forever.

In 2022, they made another attempt to soar again, but later in May, they disclosed that their relationship had come to its end point.

Status: Split

After the emotional 2020 finale, the pair shared on Instagram that they wouldn’t continue their romantic involvement. In his own words, Peter expressed, “Madi and I have decided, after much thought, not to move forward with our relationship. This decision wasn’t easy for either of us, but after heartfelt discussions, we believe it is the best choice for both of us. The affection and regard I hold for Madi will persist.

In her declaration, Madi expressed, “I’ll never stop loving and valuing him. I’m certain our lives intersecting was destined, and we’ve both grown for the better because of it.

Status: Split

During the 24th season of The Bachelor, Peter and Hannah Ann found themselves in an engagement. Regrettably, by the second part of the finale, it became clear that they were experiencing difficulties just a month into their committed relationship. More specifically, Hannah Ann was taken aback when she learned about Peter’s ongoing emotions towards Madison.

She said, “All I truly wanted was for someone to offer their entire affection as I am doing for them. Yet, you ended my first engagement.” Prior to returning the ring, she emphasized, “You took that from me. Because I believed in you, and that’s what I’ve always been asked to do – ‘Be patient with me. Have faith in me.’
