The Fallout crossover event in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has entered its second week, and new challenges are now available.
Quantum Exchange is offering the brand-new Hawker HX sniper rifle as its main reward – it’s definitely the most exciting item you can get.
Getting this isn’t hard, but if you’re looking for the quickest way, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve tested all the options and found a simple, stress-free method. Here’s how to do it.
How to unlock the Hawker HX sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

When playing Black Ops 7, I prioritize a relaxed experience over speed. The game can be intense enough as it is, so I prefer methods that minimize stress and help me unlock items without feeling overwhelmed.
If you want to unlock the Hawker HX quickly and with minimal effort, the best way to do it is by playing the Endgame mode. While Zombies is also an option, I highly recommend skipping Warzone and standard Multiplayer if you’re aiming for a fast unlock. I’ll share the specific results I’ve been getting using this method.
Okay, so I’m really trying to unlock the Hawker HX, and it takes 100 bottle caps! You earn those caps by getting eliminations in Endgame mode. If you want to farm them quickly, I’ve found the best spot: drop into Zone III and make a beeline for the grassy areas in the top left corner of the map. That’s where the action is, and you’ll be collecting caps in no time!

These locations are popular for players trying to unlock the Genesis Mastery Camo, and they work well in this game too. You can expect a lot of zombie enemies to appear here consistently.
To collect bottle caps in Zone III, simply patrol the edges of the map. Find enemy groups, defeat them, collect the bottle caps they drop, and then repeat the process with other groups. It doesn’t matter if you fight regular, Special, or Elite enemies – just eliminate everything you encounter.
From my experience, you can usually collect the 100 bottle caps you need in about four games, but it might take up to five. That should only take a few hours of playtime.
Why Black Ops 7 Endgame is the play to unlock the Hawker HX

Endgame is the best way to earn rewards in this game. It’s a straightforward numbers game that’s much easier and more efficient than the other three modes, giving you more for your time.
I consistently find at least 20 bottle caps in each match, and if I play until the final few minutes, I usually collect around 29.
Even with a boost to increase zombie spawns, earning bottle caps through the standard Zombies on Survival mode is more efficient. I’ve only managed to collect 10 bottle caps in almost 20 minutes playing this way. While you can get more by reaching higher rounds with larger zombie waves, it takes a lot longer and isn’t worth the extra effort.
Warzone ranks third, and far behind the others. Similar to past events, all you need to do is open supply crates. However, even in a complete match (playing in Casual mode), I only earned six bottle caps.
As an analyst, I’m seeing a major issue with the multiplayer experience – it’s consistently ranking last in player satisfaction. The core problem seems to be the incredibly low drop rates for items, especially considering the time investment players are making. It’s frustrating to see an item drop, only to likely be eliminated before you can even reach it and collect it. This creates a really negative loop where players feel their time isn’t being rewarded.
Okay, so my go-to farming method right now is what I call ‘Endgame’. It’s a really consistent way to get bottle caps – I’m usually pulling in between 20 and 30 per run, focusing on the spots I mentioned earlier. If I don’t have a fully geared Zone III operator ready to go, I’ll switch over to farming zombies as a backup. It takes a bit longer, sure, but honestly, it’s way more efficient than trying to grind caps in Warzone or standard Multiplayer.
