Actor Nicholas Ralph, who plays the lead in All Creatures Great and Small, recently unveiled photos from the set of season 6. However, one fellow cast member seems to be taking a brief break from shooting, as they are not present in these new images.
Rachel Shenton has just given birth to her first child and is temporarily stepping away from the popular Channel 5 series to adjust to her new role as a mother. This absence might lead to fewer appearances for her character, Helen, in upcoming episodes.
For the upcoming series, the remaining cast members of All Creatures Great and Small continue filming, and this week, Ralph took some pictures from our countryside set to post on Instagram Stories for everyone to see.
Initially, you can find Samuel West dressed as Siegfried Farnon, unwinding leisurely on an outdoor seat, simultaneously utilizing technology that seems out of place for the era. To maintain the veterinary motif, maybe he’s taking a break from playing Farmville or Pokémon Go?
Additionally, Ralph captured his fellow actor, Callum Woodhouse portraying Tristan Farnon, on set in this countryside scene during filming. However, it’s unclear what events led these characters to this specific location.
Supporters of All Creatures Great and Small will be happy to know that Shenton continues to be an integral member of the show’s extended family. A snapshot taken off-set at a restaurant shows her sitting alongside Ralph, West, Woodhouse, and Anna Madeley (the actress portraying Mrs Hall).
Initially posted by Ralph on his Instagram, and later reposted by Shenton, the actor expressed her longing for her fellow actors from All Creatures. She assured them that they would meet up again shortly.
She clarified, “Our interpretation deviates significantly from both the ’70s version and the original book. It’s a unique path we’re following, drawing inspiration from these timeless stories but offering a distinct experience.
