In just under three weeks, id Software’s game DOOM: The Dark Ages will be released, and it was thought there was nothing left to unveil from the studio. However, director Hugo Martin recently unveiled a fresh detail in the latest trailer – the Cosmic Realm.
In the last trailer, it was surprising when Cthulhu seemingly emerged out of thin air, wasn’t it? Well, it seems that Hell and the Cosmic Realm have formed an alliance, which means we’ll encounter new adversaries such as the Cosmic Baron. He’s known for his persistent attacks towards the Slayer, and dodging these blows and countering with a parry is the key to staying alive.
Next up is the latest Cacodemon crossbreed, equipped to stun foes with its long tendrils. To counter these threats, the Slayer now carries the Reavershot – a brand-new weapon that hurls an iron ball and chain right at enemies’ faces. Build up its power and witness the chaos unfold.
On May 15th, “DOOM: The Dark Ages” will be released for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It’s also available on launch day for Game Pass subscribers.
