Ahead of the theatrical release of “Thunderbolts“, a fresh artwork was unveiled, offering an impressive glimpse of Lewis Pullman as his character, the Sentry, takes shape.
Marvel is gradually revealing more details about the upcoming project, Thunderbolts. For instance, they have unveiled the opening minute of action from the Phase 5 movie. As for the main characters, their identities are becoming clearer, but the intricate plot details will remain a secret until the film’s premiere in theaters.
Among the secrets revealed, we find Sentry, a character poised to become Earth’s next significant adversary. So far, in all released footage, Pullman’s “Bob” character has occasionally appeared, but his fully-developed Sentry costume and persona remain unseen, lurking in the shadows.
New Art Shows Off Sentry’s Awesome Look in Thunderbolts*
On the X page dedicated to the Marvel Future Fight video game, they unveiled an authentic piece of artwork from Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts, offering a comprehensive view of Lewis Pullman’s Sentry in his official appearance.
The picture showcases the main six members of the Thunderbolts squad, and it depicts Robert Reynolds’ Sentry hovering aloft over Bucky Barnes, whose eyes are aglow.
As a die-hard film fan, nothing gets my heart racing quite like the sight of Sentry, standing tall and bold in his vibrant yellow and blue attire, complete with an elegantly flowing long blue cape. The iconic “S” emblazoned on his blue belt, hinted at in earlier glimpses, is now a stunning reality, adding another layer of anticipation to the excitement.
Initially, this illustration serves as the first officially revealed depiction of Sentry’s costume. However, earlier in April, details of his attire were also hinted at through a Hasbro action figure unveiling. These images represent the only glimpses of Sentry’s appearance so far, since we have yet to see him fully in Thunderbolts.
When Will Marvel Show the First Full Look at Thunderbolts*’ Sentry?
So far, Marvel Studios hasn’t unveiled any authentic images or clips featuring Sentry, despite his appearances in artwork and action figures. All we’ve seen are Pullman dressed as ‘Bob’ and a glimpse of what’s to come with the enigmatic figure called The Void.
Luckily, since he is the primary antagonist of the Thunderbolts, we won’t need long to fully explore his character when the plot unfolds.
The movie might alternatively switch between “Bob” and his Sentry character, providing ample opportunity to reveal the complete costume later on. What’s even more intriguing is that the blue and yellow outfit will appear frequently within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the future.
It has been confirmed that Pullman will be a part of the cast for the 2026’s “Avengers: Doomsday,” reuniting with many of his fellow actors from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project, “Thunderbolts*“. The intrigue lies in understanding how his character will interact with the team he fights against in “Thunderbolts*>” before causing chaos ahead of that movie.
Thunderbolts* will debut in theaters on Friday, May 2.
