Anticipation runs high for the exclusive DOOM: The Dark Ages Xbox gamepads, yet recent rumors hint at additional controllers tailored for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on the horizon. Currently, Xbox consoles offer a variety of controller designs, but Microsoft primarily employs the Xbox Wireless/Wired Controller and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. Although variations exist, these two models have garnered the most popularity and prevalence. If these whispers are accurate, gamers will soon have even more choices to explore. With increased options comes enhanced accessibility, as demonstrated by Xbox’s Backbone and Adaptive Controllers.
Information obtained from a reputable Xbox leaker, eXtas1s, suggests that Microsoft has applied for patents on various novel controller designs. These new controllers are said to be the Xbox Elite 3, Controller 2, and Controller 3 (codenamed Sebile). Each model boasts unique designs and distinctive features.

According to reports, the new Xbox Elite Controller 3 is expected to provide players with improved connectivity and responsiveness. It is designed with adjustable triggers that offer haptic feedback and a focus on resistance for enhanced gameplay experience. On the other hand, leaked information about the Controller 2 suggests it will come equipped with an LED status bar within the controller, a stronger Bluetooth connection, and a direct link to xCloud to minimize lag.
In summary, the Controller 3, known as Sebil, will provide comprehensive haptic feedback and extra vibration functions to signal controller problems. This feature simplifies the identification of issues like poor connections, latency, and others. Furthermore, Sebil will incorporate a separate button for toggling between Bluetooth and cloud transmission modes.
It’s uncertain whether this leak is accurate or not. If it is, there’s no assurance that all three controllers will be released simultaneously, if they will be released at all. Microsoft might choose to develop some of these designs individually or combine them into a single product. Xbox players currently have numerous controller options, but having more choices can only add to their satisfaction.
