Whenever I’m feeling confused, down, or stuck, or if I wonder about the past, she said, I turn to, “What would be best for us in this moment, as Nick would want?” This thought instantly lifts me out of a sad, mournful state and places me in a hopeful, mournful space where I realize, “I must live my life for him.
