Get ready for Doctor Who to return to the big screen!

BBC Studios and CinemaLive have declared that the final episodes of Ncuti Gatwa’s second season, titled “Wish World” and “The Reality War,” will be shown simultaneously in movie theaters throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland on May 31st.

A full list of cinemas is set to be announced, with tickets going on sale on 1st May.

Natasha Spence, Events Director at BBC Studios, expressed her joy about teaming up with CinemaLive for a second time, allowing Doctor Who enthusiasts in the United Kingdom and Ireland to gather and enjoy their beloved series.

The conclusion is set to deliver a thrilling journey for fans of ‘Doctor Who’, and we can’t wait to reveal the Doctor and Belinda’s new escapades in cinemas!

John Travers, CinemaLive’s Head of Acquisitions & Distribution, expressed his enthusiasm: “Building upon the triumph of last year’s cinema event for midnight screenings, we’re thrilled to be collaborating with BBC Studios. Our aim is to make sure that Doctor Who enthusiasts young and old can enjoy the thrill of watching the two-part season finale on the large screen this time around.

During this current season, episodes of Doctor Who are being released on iPlayer as early as 8am, followed by their broadcast on BBC One in the evening. There are rumors circulating that the final episode may not be made available early, although an official confirmation is still pending.

Information regarding the final two-episode series is scant at the moment, however, it has been confirmed that the Doctor will encounter a force that poses a danger to the very fabric of existence. Moreover, we anticipate unveiling the true identity of the enigmatic Mrs Flood, played by Anita Dobson.

Both “World of Wishes” and “The Conflict of Realities,” penned by Russell T Davies, are overseen by director Alex Sanjiv Pillai.

Up until now, the storyline finds the Doctor and his companion, Belinda Chandra (portrayed by Varada Sethu), in a quest to return her home. However, an unidentified force keeps preventing them from reaching Earth on May 24, 2025.

In my latest review, I find myself reminiscing about the grand tradition that continues to unfold in the realm of Doctor Who. Following the footsteps of its last cinematic adventure, 2024’s thrilling finale two-parter picks up where it left off, screening nationwide across the UK. This time around, our beloved Doctor encounters an ancient adversary, none other than Sutekh, a foe from the past that stirs up memories and sets the stage for an epic showdown. The anticipation is palpable, as fans eagerly await this exhilarating encounter!

Will he face another familiar foe or will a new enemy arise this time? Only time will tell.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on 1st May. For more information, visit doctorwho.tv.

On the following Saturday, which is the 3rd of May, Doctor Who will resume on BBC One in the United Kingdom. New episodes can be accessed from 8 am on Saturdays on BBC iPlayer. For those residing outside of the UK, the series can be found on Disney+.
