A former student of The Simple Life, who is also mother to 15-year-old son Sparrow with husband Joel Madden, stated that their strong connection isn’t just about one person giving. She described it as a mutual exchange, saying “She rummages through my closet, I do the same in hers. It’s all about who wants what.

For Nicole, fashion plays a significant role – she’s now an ambassador for the high-end fashion resale platform Fashionphile. Yet, it’s not just fashion where she emphasizes openness; she’s deeply committed to being transparent with her kids as well. In essence, she values honesty in all aspects of her life.

In the interview airing tonight at 11 p.m., she emphasized her candor and transparency towards her children. The same goes for my spouse. We learned this honesty from our own parents.

Nicole, daughter of musicians Lionel Richie and Brenda Harvey-Richie, remarked, “We enjoy a good laugh and sharing jokes in our family. My children even poke fun at me from time to time. I’m perfectly okay with that as long as we all find humor in it.

What makes Nicole want to share everything with her children? It’s due to the fact that she vividly recalls what it feels like to be a teenager.

Speaking with Glamour last December, I shared that my children are privy to every move I make. From the outset, I understood that maintaining an open and transparent relationship with them about my true self was crucial.
