The Summer 2025 installments of Black Clover finally shone the limelight on character Yuno, which is one of the most exciting developments in the series. It’s been some time since the manga transitioned to the final arc and moved to Jump GIGA. With two to three chapters being published every quarter, the anticipation and tension are palpable. As the manga approaches its conclusion, the battle against Lucius Zogratis is more intense than ever, with higher stakes than previously seen. The latest chapters 379 and 380 were recently released as part of the Spring 2025 edition. In these releases, Asta and Yuno remain in the spotlight, but the manga has bigger plans for our secondary protagonist.
In their constant battle for supremacy, Yuno consistently matches Asta’s strength. Frequently joining forces against formidable adversaries, they mutually provide necessary support. Despite their powers being distinctly opposite, they manage to complement each other in intriguing ways. The surprising turn of events in Chapter 380 undeniably took readers by storm; however, upon reflection, it becomes clear that this twist makes perfect sense. Since Asta is currently incapacitated, the onus falls upon Yuno to vanquish the enemy, a task for which he seems particularly equipped.
Black Clover Summer 2025 Return Will Feature Yuno’s Greatest Fight
Throughout the course of the series, Yuno has had numerous remarkable instances that often eclipsed the main character. Recently, Asta and Liebe were both hit by Lucius’ deceitful attack. Ryuga, observing the battle from the Land of the Sun, discerns Lucius’ vulnerability and alerts Asta. Yet, right as Asta and Liebe were about to counterattack, an apparition of Asta’s mother, Licita, appeared before them, leaving Liebe too distraught to act, resulting in a shared lethal strike for both Asta and Liebe. Despite Asta currently being incapacitated, Yuno must press on with the battle, even if he’s fighting solo. Ryuga is astounded by the raw power of Yuno’s attack, but it still falls short against Lucius.
In an unexpected turn of events, Asta confides the demon-dwelling sword to him, expending his final ounce of strength to bestow upon Yuno his powers. The chapter concludes in a breathtaking two-page spread, showing Yuno wielding both his Spirit of Zephyr and Asta’s Demon-Dweller Sword simultaneously. It’s worth noting that the Spirit of Zephyr is derived from Yuno’s soul mother, Tetia. Given that the Demon-Dweller Sword originally belonged to Licht, Yuno’s soul father, it seems fitting that he can now use this sword as well. With the chapter ending on a suspenseful note, it’s evident that the upcoming Summer 2025 installment will likely delve into the battle between Yuno and Lucius.
Black Clover Might Feature a Fight Better Than Yuno Vs. Zenon
In the Raid Arc of the Spade Kingdom, the clash between Yuno and Zenon stands out as one of the most remarkable fights in the series, arguably even the best. Their initial encounter left Yuno utterly defeated, a predicament worse than any he had previously faced. When they met again in the Spade Kingdom, Yuno found himself cornered by Zenon once more. But when all seemed lost, Yuno obtained a second grimoire, this one granting him the power of Star Magic – a rare magic attribute that has been passed down within a specific lineage. Interestingly, Yuno’s ability to wield the demon dweller sword, which originally belonged to his spiritual father, Licht, aligns with this unexpected development. Each intense battle Yuno faces propels him forward in remarkable strides, but the acquisition of a second grimoire was an event that took everyone by surprise.
It’s evident that Tabata has provided Yuno with some of the most thrilling battles in the series, and now that he possesses Asta’s Anti-Magic combined with his Wind and Star magic, it’s likely that the imminent confrontation could surpass even Yuno vs. Zenon in terms of epicness. Not only has Yuno significantly increased his power, but he also boasts a powerful counter to Lucius, and indeed, all formidable opponents at their core thanks to Anti-Magic. Currently, Yuno stands alone against the most potent villain ever encountered. Lucius appears unyielding in his relentless pursuit, but the upcoming chapters could bring about a shift in the situation.
Concerning Asta, his wounds are so critical that he can’t re-enter the fight at present. If Mimosa or another character manages to heal him and Liebe, there’s still a slim chance he might recover, but it seems highly unlikely based on his condition. With many Magic Knights absent from the battlefield, this confrontation against the antagonist has become a decisive one, with Asta and Yuno being our last hope.
