In the second post-credits scene of Thunderbolts, it was revealed that the arrival of the Fantastic Four had been previously spoiled in the credits. This is because they listed a theme for the group, composed by Michael Giacchino, among other notable themes like Alan Silvestri’s Avengers theme and Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” The credits read, “Fantastic Four: First Steps Main Theme, Composed by Michael Giacchino.” This hinted at the upcoming appearance of the Fantastic Four.
In this expanded sequence, we find the rechristened New Avengers making their way back to the Watchtower for a chat about their team identity, 14 months post-Thunderbolts incident. However, their conversation is interrupted when Yelena Belova and Bucky Barnes spot an enormous, enigmatic object streaking towards Earth. Eager for more information, Yelena moves to investigate the mysterious object.
The team gazes at their screen in bewilderment, realizing it’s an interdimensional spaceship arriving from another universe. Gradually, the music of Giacchino’s The Fantastic Four starts playing softly, and as the ship rotates, they see a gigantic blue “4” on its side – signaling the much-anticipated arrival of the Fantastic Four to Earth-616.
This sequence unfolds towards the conclusion of the last film in Marvel Studios’ Phase 5 collection, titled “Thunderbolts“. Being the culmination, it assembles an ensemble of anti-hero characters scattered throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to confront the potent Sentry. Headed by Florence Pugh’s character Yelena Belova, this group must overcome their individual conflicts and devise a strategy to prevent Sentry from plunging the entire world into darkness.

Is The Thunderbolts Post-Credit Scene Just A Scene From Avengers: Doomsday?
In some Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, scenes shown after the credits have been recycled and incorporated into the storylines of subsequent films.
In other words, the scene where Ant-Man wasn’t present (with Captain America and Falcon capturing The Winter Soldier) was repeated in Captain America: Civil War. This scene was actually filmed by directors Joe and Anthony Russo during the production of Civil War before Ant-Man was released.
A sequence akin to that one unfolded in the end credits of Doctor Strange, where Strange interacts with Thor and they talk about Odin’s mysterious absence. This scene, skillfully directed by Taika Waititi, served as an initial plot element for his debut film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Thor: Ragnarok.
It’s worth mentioning that the Russo Brothers were responsible for directing the post-credit scene of Thunderbolts, while Jake Schreier directed the main part of the movie. This could imply that the scene might be relevant to the storyline of Doomsday instead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, although either film is a possibility.
In the lineup of Doomsday, it’s now official that the Fantastic Four will make their Earth-616 debut, hailing from another universe. The plot unfolds from this point, laying the foundation for these groups of heroes and beyond to experience a life-altering series of events.
