It’s hard to believe, but the popular game Stardew Valley is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! For a decade, it’s been the standard for excellent indie farming simulations. New games in this genre are almost always measured against ConcernedApe’s classic, and rightfully so – Stardew Valley is incredibly engaging and offers a lot of content. However, sometimes players want to experience something fresh, and a new farming sim coming soon might be just what they’re looking for.
Innerfire Studios recently announced Farming Camp, a new and relaxing farming game. If you’re a fan of games like Stardew Valley, you’ll likely enjoy its charming pixel art style and gameplay. However, Farming Camp also includes some fresh ideas you won’t find in other farming sims. Keep an eye out for it later this year on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet.
Farming Camp Is a New PC & Console Farming Sim With A Unique Twist
Lots of new farming games have recently launched on Steam, with varying degrees of success. While some, like Fields of Mistria, show promise and could become major hits like Stardew Valley, others haven’t quite taken off. If you’ve been hoping for a new farming sim on consoles, you’re in luck! Farming Camp is coming to both consoles and PC later this year. It looks like a fresh and interesting take on the farming sim genre, and it’s not just because of its unique 2D pixel art style.
In Farming Camp, you play as a young woman attending a summer agriculture camp, hoping to become a skilled farmer. You’ll team up with other campers to run the farm and earn points by completing tasks. These tasks are actually fun mini-games – you’ll chop wood, refuel your boat, and get rid of pests, adding an extra layer of gameplay to the farming experience.

This game combines cozy farming with management elements. You’ll work alongside other campers, giving them tasks and collaborating to run the farm – tending to plants, animals, and even going fishing. But the fishing is a bit different: you actually drive a boat! I can already picture myself hilariously crashing that pixelated boat into the rocks while trying to navigate the waters.
Farming Camp is a story-driven farming simulation game for PC and consoles, planned for release in 2026. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam now, and a free demo will be available shortly. Keep an eye out for more information, including the exact release date, in the months ahead.
