Alert: This article reveals key plot points for Tracker season 2, episode 19 titled “Rules of the Game“. As the second season winds down, Tracker maintains its impressive streak of engaging episodes by delving into the escalating predicament surrounding Reenie (Fiona Rene) and her client. Furthermore, this episode marks a significant return for Tracker to the overarching enigma regarding Colter’s father. Essentially, “Rules of the Game” primarily revolves around an incident involving Reenie’s client Leo (Pej Vahdat), whose assistant mysteriously disappears in what seems like a corporate kidnapping. However, given the show’s recent knack for crafting intricate and surprising storylines, there’s much more to it than meets the eye.
The series begins and concludes with Colter (Justin Hartley) in his Airstream, investigating the mystery surrounding his father. It’s great to see the Airstream featured, given its significance to Colter’s character on multiple levels. However, what truly stands out is that he’s accompanied by his sister and a box of his father’s documents.
Following numerous installments with only fleeting references to his most significant case, it’s comforting to notice that it hasn’t slipped their memory. I am optimistic that the final episode will capitalize on the recent development since it’s long overdue for this case to regain its prominence once more.
Reenie & Leo’s Story Comes To A Head – But It’s A Little Disappointing
Is Reenie Going To Continue Working For Him, After All This?
This season’s main plot revolves around Reenie and her enigmatic client, Leo, who has been gradually emerging from obscurity. Each of his appearances brings slightly questionable demands and hints of forthcoming revelations. And this week, those secrets finally surfaced. The unexpected twists and turns were thrilling once more. This episode is yet another example of the second season of Tracker, skillfully crafting a story that’s rich with unpredictability and layers to explore, and I found the big disclosures particularly engaging.
To put it simply, I must admit there was a slight letdown when I learned about Leo’s past partnership and the tragic incident involving the original company owner. However, what I can verify is that Francie believes Leo bears responsibility for these events, but the truth remains uncertain as Tracker does not confirm them to have occurred.
Following six months of tension, the events surrounding that situation remain unclear, leaving Leo neither hailed as a hero nor condemned as a villain. His apparent distress and remorse suggest otherwise, despite his denial of any involvement and insistence on personally delivering the news to Grimes about his departure. Despite potentially being ruthless in business, his reaction doesn’t align with the typical response to these circumstances.
It remains undecided whether Reenie will continue working for him or if he will require her services anymore, given the new company is now ready for its debut. Their last conversation with Colter suggests that she finds him complex, and Colter assumes she hopes to find the good in him. However, this does not definitively clarify his future role on the show. This ambiguity leaves room for a possible return of the character, but it’s disappointing because usually, shows provide more clarity about characters’ fates.
Finally, Tracker Comes Back To The Big Shaw Family Mystery
There’s A New Clue To Colter’s Father’s Death – What Is It Setting Up?
In the bookending style of Colter’s family mystery, the central case unfolds without interruptions from another narrative thread, maintaining suspense while keeping the subplot significant within the episode. The narrative commences as Colter handles a box containing his father’s belongings and contemplates whether his father was urging Lizzie’s (Jennifer Morrison) mother to perform a certain task with it. This hints at an impending revelation, considering that in the series Tracker, Colter is almost always correct about such matters.
Towards the close of the episode, he uncovers a secret phone number within a container; instead of delegating his tech team to investigate it thoroughly, he chooses to dial it directly. This action seems unusual given his growing suspicion that the FBI might be connected to his father’s pursuit. However, if they’re still monitoring that number, this decision could prove crucial in the future. It appears this move is laying the groundwork for the next significant revelation in the search for his father’s murderer, yet a simple phone number could lead in any direction.
Up Next: Echo Ridge Promises More Shaw Family Drama
Is The Season 2 Finale Setting Up The Focus For Season 3?
Next week, the season finale is shaping up to be an exhilarating spectacle. The most captivating revelation is the comeback of Colter’s mother, Mary (Wendy Crewson). Alongside this surprise and the cryptic phone number, it’s obvious that we’re in for an episode that sheds light on the enigma at hand.
Colter goes back to Echo Ridge to look into the mystery of a missing diner owner, but instead, he stumbles upon a long-hidden abduction case and an astonishing truth about a local family’s past.
Considering the numerous “surprising truths” about the Shaw family that Tracker has disclosed so far (involvement from the government, a hidden affair, an unexplained death during a stormy night), it’s hard to predict what further revelations might be in store for them. However, whatever it turns out to be, it’s certain to be intriguing. Here’s hoping that the final episode will skillfully handle this mystery as well as the kidnapping case, or perhaps connect these two storylines.
As a keen fan, I can’t help but express my anticipation that the intriguing Shaw family enigma might not find resolution in this current episode, yet it seems promisingly poised to dominate the upcoming third season, a development that could truly elevate the series to new heights. However, what’s immediately pressing is for the next installment to end spectacularly, given the outstanding caliber of episodes we’ve recently enjoyed. In other words, Tracker, with its proven track record, should be able to pull off a flawless landing.
