The terrifying game known as “Zoochosis” is transitioning from PC to gaming consoles. The developers at Clapperheads and publishers at Playworks have revealed that this game will be available on PS4 and PS5. Although a specific launch date for the console version hasn’t been set yet, you can watch the new trailer for the announcement in the video below.
The brief trailer, lasting barely more than 60 seconds, initiates with a charming tone before swiftly transitioning into an ominous ambiance. This trailer also previews the bodycam-like view adopted by the game Zoochosis, demonstrating how it intensifies the terror instilled by the game’s infected creatures.
In the game titled “Zoochosis“, players assume the role of a night-shift zookeeper. During their duty, they’ll be taking care of diverse animal inhabitants. However, as the evening progresses, things take an unusual turn when certain zoo animals display abnormal behavior. Upon further investigation, it is discovered that a parasite has infiltrated several animals within the zoo. The task then falls upon the player to pinpoint the infected creatures and create vaccines swiftly to save them before the parasite multiplies uncontrollably.
Given the significant focus on finding a cure for the parasite, the choices made by the player regarding which animals to rescue will significantly influence the outcome of one of the game’s multiple endings.
Originally launched for PC in September 2024, the game Zoochosis centers around its chilling horror themes. The unique perspective it offers lies in contrasting the typical reactions of animals with their behaviors after being affected by a parasite.
After its initial PC debut, the game Zoochosis has undergone several updates, with the most recent one in the last month focusing on fixing numerous bugs and addressing issues with an earlier boss fight. In conjunction with these improvements, the studio introduced Screamer System 2.0, which features a multitude of screamers featuring animals and monsters within the game. Originally intended to be included at launch, this feature was postponed due to development time constraints and added as a post-release update instead.
