Halle Bailey Files Restraining Order Against Ex DDG Over Abuse Allegations

Halle Bailey is taking legal action to protect herself and her son Halo.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an update that on May 13th, I found myself seeking a temporary domestic violence restraining order against my ex, DDG (whose real name is Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), for the safety of myself and our 16-month-old son. According to the court documents obtained by TopMob News, I detailed several instances of abuse that had occurred.

In the documents submitted for the requested protection order, Halle stated, “Over the course of our partnership up until now, Darryl has repeatedly displayed physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially harmful behavior towards me.

TopMob News has reached out to DDG for comment and has not heard back.

Initially, Halle addressed the harm she claims her reputation has suffered due to the actions taken by the rapper known for “moonwalking in Calabasas.

According to her claim, whenever he wants to stir trouble, he spreads harmful rumors about me to his vast following on social media. These rumors suggest that I’m keeping our child from him and that I’m involved with other men. Consequently, this leads to threats and hateful messages being directed at me online.

Apart from “creating dramatic scenes involving herself” for his followers, Halle subsequently disclosed that their relationship terminated the previous year due to Darryl’s explosive temperament and disregard for her. There were several instances of physical violence, some occurring even prior to the birth of Halo.

After their split, the actress from Last Holiday has shared incidents where DDG, aged 27, reportedly used offensive language towards her, labeled her as ‘evil’, made sudden requests to see Halo, and mostly left him in the care of his mother during their visits.

In a specific incident reportedly happening when Halo was 13 months old, it’s claimed that DDG grew upset following Halle’s request for a scheduled return of their son, with her saying “could you please establish a routine” instead.

Suddenly,” she explained, “our situation escalated violently. We started to scuffle, grappling and struggling. At a certain moment, Darryl grabbed my hair. He then forcefully pressed my face onto the steering wheel, cracking one of my teeth. Overwhelmed by pain, I ceased resisting. However, I yearned to escape with Halo, but found myself trapped in the car now.

With her still in the car, she alleged that DDG quickly drove them to his house.

She went on to say, “I pleaded with his relatives present to assist me in setting up a schedule with him. They simply advised me to abandon Halo and leave. Overwhelmed, I departed crying. I had bruises on my arms and a cracked tooth.

Halle provided images showing the injuries she claims were caused by their fight, and she detailed additional conflicts, such as an unnerving message sent to her in March, which she alleges was from DDG, when he supposedly trespassed into her house without her presence.

In the end, Halle realized he had exhausted all options to prevent a court case. He made every effort to pacify Darryl by granting him access to Halo, although Darryl isn’t with Halo and frequently leaves her with his mother. He even arranged for visits whenever he could, sometimes at the last minute. However, it’s become clear that nothing can appease Darryl. I can no longer tolerate this abuse, and I cannot go on living like this.
