Chelsee Healey is leaving Hollyoaks later this year to focus on new career opportunities. She’s the latest actor to depart the Channel 4 soap.
Nikki Healey, known for playing Goldie McQueen since 2016, has recently reduced her regular work on the soap to pursue other opportunities. She previously returned to her breakout role in Waterloo Road and competed on last year’s Dancing on Ice.
A source explained to The Sun: “Chelsee has decided it’s time to move on from Hollyoaks for good.
She hasn’t been a regular cast member for a while and has been pursuing other projects, but now she’s fully committing to something new.

This news follows reports that James Sutton, who plays her on-screen cousin John Paul, is also leaving the show.
After twenty years on the Chester-based show, actor David Sutton is expected to have a dramatic exit. Reports suggest his final plotline will include the surprising reappearances of his characters‘ deceased sisters, Carmel and Tina.

This special episode explores an alternate version of John Paul McQueen’s life, imagining what it would have been like if his sisters had still been alive, according to a source.
They were thrilled to come back and work with their former co-stars. The episode, airing next month, promises to be a must-see for fans.

Merna first appeared with the other McQueen family members in 2006 and was featured on the show until 2014.
Carmel was killed off in an explosion following a train crash.
Hackett’s time ended just as dramatically, finishing in 2008 with a shocking incident that took place inside a church.
Tina was briefly seen again in flashback scenes that aired following Carmel’s demise.
Hollyoaks is available to watch on catch-up on Channel 4 and airs Monday to Wednesday on E4.

As a critic who keeps up with the UK’s biggest soap operas, let me tell you, Michael Adams is the person to know. He’s the Soaps Editor at TopMob, meaning he’s got the inside scoop on everything happening in Weatherfield (that’s Coronation Street to those unfamiliar!), Walford, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and all the other drama-filled towns. Before joining TopMob, he was a Soaps Reporter at Metro for two years, and he’s even been on set for both Coronation Street and Emmerdale – so trust me, he knows his stuff when it comes to spoilers and all the latest gossip!
