Season 14 of The Masked Singer is currently airing on Fox and available to stream on Hulu. Recently, the show featured reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were the second contestants eliminated. Although their appearance on the show was brief, circumstances almost prevented them from participating at all.
I was surprised to learn that the Chrisleys appeared on The Masked Singer so soon after being released from prison, and Todd Chrisley felt the same way. He thought his time on television was over after serving his sentence, but his daughter, Savannah, encouraged him to return to the spotlight.
I’d been rejecting every job offer because I wasn’t ready to work on anything at the time. Savannah was frustrated with me and told me I needed to start accepting roles and get back to acting. I told her I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to continue working in television.
Surprisingly, Todd Chrisley wasn’t eager to return to television after receiving a pardon from President Trump. His daughter, Savannah, strongly encouraged him, especially since she had experience with reality TV from her time on The Masked Singer. While Savannah’s appearance on that show was brief, her parents actually fared better, as they lasted longer than her single season on The Masked Singer back in Season 11.
Todd Chrisley was open to returning to television, largely because his daughter Savannah asked him to. However, it was a condition that his wife also participate, and he needed her approval. Luckily, she reached out to him first, initiating the conversation.
Julie called and asked if I’d be interested in appearing on ‘The Masked Singer.’ I asked her if she wanted to do it, and she wasn’t sure. I told her I’d make a decision once she knew what she wanted. We eventually agreed to participate, and it was a fantastic experience.
As everyone knows, things unfolded from there. The couple famously appeared on The Masked Singer dressed as croissants, and they even made light of their past imprisonment. When asked about it by TopMob, they explained they weren’t trying to hide from their history as they move forward with their television careers.
Okay, so I’m a huge fan of The Masked Singer, and I just heard the story from Macaron about how he even got on the show. It’s seriously wild! Honestly, it kinda explains why he was eliminated so quickly – the whole situation was a bit chaotic from the start, apparently. It’s a really fun behind-the-scenes peek, and makes you see things in a totally different light.
Interestingly, Todd Chrisley isn’t a complete newcomer to the music world. He actually recorded a song with Sara Evans in 2016. While it wasn’t a huge success, it did make it onto Billboard’s country charts – something few other celebrities on The Masked Singer have achieved.
That musical moment didn’t turn into a lasting role on the show, but the Chrisleys likely appreciated the income and are already focusing on future television projects. Todd was hesitant about returning to TV, but it seems they’re developing several ideas that could lead to a new show soon.

I’m so excited about Hulu! Right now, they’re offering a 30-day free trial, and I can finally binge-watch shows like The Masked Singer. What’s great is that even their basic plan gives me access to everything – originals like What We Do in the Shadows, Tell Me Lies, The Bear, and Only Murders In The Building are all included. After the free month, plans start at just $9.99 a month. I’m definitely checking it out!
You can watch new episodes of The Masked Singer Season 14 on Fox every Wednesday. It’s unclear how much we’ll see of Todd and Julie Chrisley on TV in 2026, but it seems likely they’ll be back on our screens before long.
