ARC Raiders Appears Unstoppable on Steam, Topping US Engagement Charts for 9th Straight Week

Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders had a remarkably successful launch last year, reportedly making it Steam’s most profitable December ever. The game continues to perform well into 2026, having sold over 12.4 million copies as of last week. According to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, ARC Raiders was the most played game on Steam as of January 10th.

What’s truly remarkable is that this has happened for nine weeks in a row. It means the game has outperformed even popular titles like the free-to-play Counter-Strike 2 and Battlefield 6, which initially sold a lot more copies. It’s also beaten out major games such as Marvel Rivals, Helldivers 2, Rocket League, Warframe, and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Although it’s not as popular on consoles as some other games, it still ranks eighth on PlayStation and seventh on Xbox. Also, the five most played games haven’t changed much since 2024.

Embark is planning future updates for ARC Raiders, and a detailed roadmap is coming soon. This week, players can look forward to a new map condition in the Toxic Swamps. Beyond that, the developers intend to introduce more challenging ARC threats, though plans for Speranza to become a central hub world are still in the works and won’t be available immediately. They also plan to add several new maps, varying greatly in size.

Okay, so I’ve been checking the latest numbers from Circana’s player tracker, and here’s what’s happening in the US as of January 10th, 2026. ARC Raiders is still dominating on Steam – it’s been number one for nine weeks straight now! It’s cool to see DOTA 2 back in the Steam top 10, though – it hasn’t been there since November 2024. On PlayStation and Xbox, the top four games haven’t changed at all and they’re still in the same order as before.
