A$AP Rocky had a major night on Saturday, performing as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live with Finn Wolfhard hosting. His partner, Rihanna, was there to support him, but a video surfaced showing her appearing frustrated with her bodyguard as she left their hotel, quickly becoming a topic of conversation.
A video is circulating online showing Rihanna leaving the Four Seasons hotel. As she walked towards a car, her bodyguard accidentally let the hotel doors close on her! You can see her reaction in the video linked here.
Okay, so I was watching this singer, and she was totally focused on her hair, clearly expecting someone to hold the doors open for her. It was a bit much, honestly! Then, wham, the doors got her! She just froze for a second, looking shocked, and then deadpanned to her bodyguard with this super sarcastic tone…
Such a gentleman you are.
Pour one out for chivalry, ladies and gentlemen.
I’m only joking. While some people discuss whether men should always hold doors for women, it’s more relevant to consider if anyone should expect that from a security professional. It’s safe to assume celebrities like Rihanna, no matter their gender, are used to having doors held for them – just like her bodyguard does when she’s getting into a car.
With the paparazzi swarming the hotel, the bodyguard was likely focused on keeping them away from the artist. He may have simply expected whoever initially held the door to continue doing so for Rihanna as well.
Regardless of what happened, people found her reaction to the doors closing on her funny, and most reacted in a similar way.
