Netflix Users Have Just Days Left To Watch Both Seasons of a Toy Story Star’s Animated Series

I’m so excited for Toy Story 5 in 2026, but it’s a bit of a bummer to hear that one of my kids’ favorite shows is leaving Netflix. They’ve been adding a lot of great family content lately, like Despicable Me and Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish, which is awesome. But unfortunately, after Kung Fu Panda left, both seasons of that DreamWorks series are going to be gone from Netflix really soon. It’s a shame, but at least we still have the original Toy Story movies to look forward to!

Tony Hale is known for voicing the popular character Forky in Toy Story 4 and the Disney+ series Forky Asks a Question. Before that, he played the adventurous chicken Archibald Strutter in the DreamWorks animated series Archibald’s Next Big Thing. This show, based on Hale’s children’s book, ran for two seasons on Netflix starting in 2019. All 26 episodes will no longer be available on Netflix after January 26th. The series follows the cheerful Archibald, who always says ‘yes’ to trying new things, even if they don’t always go as planned.

Archibald’s Next Big Thing Is a Delightfully Charming and Fun DreamWorks Series

Okay, so Archibald’s Next Big Thing might not be as groundbreaking as what Hale did with Toy Story, but honestly, it’s a really sweet animated show that I think more people should check out, especially since it’s leaving Netflix soon! It’s definitely geared towards kids – lots of fun adventures and totally safe for the whole family – but I found myself smiling a lot too. It’s just so optimistic! Archibald always finds a way to make the best of things, and the show is wonderfully silly and heartwarming. It’s packed with positive messages and really celebrates being curious. Plus, Hale does an amazing job voicing Archibald – he perfectly captures that enthusiastic, happy energy!

Viewers loved Archibald’s Next Big Thing, giving it an average score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes over its first two seasons and describing it as both inspiring and surprisingly enjoyable for all ages. While the show didn’t receive enough reviews for a Tomatometer score, critics were largely positive. Joel Keller of Decider recommended streaming the show, praising it as a funny and entertaining series for elementary school-aged children that adults will also appreciate.

Where to Stream Archibald’s Next Big Thing After It Leaves Netflix?

Netflix viewers should catch Archibald’s Next Big Thing soon, as it will be removed from the streaming service. As a Netflix original, it’s not available anywhere else right now and won’t be added to another platform this month. This is part of a trend of DreamWorks shows leaving Netflix as their licensing agreements end. While some of these shows have moved to Peacock, others are currently unavailable for streaming.

Even though the show’s future is uncertain, fans can still watch episodes of Archibald’s Next Big Thing. After initially airing on Netflix for two seasons, it continued for four more on Peacock, but under a new name: Archibald’s Next Big Thing Is Here. All of these episodes are currently available on Peacock, combined into a single ‘Season 1’ listing.
