5) Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork
This tabletop role-playing game is based on Terry Pratchett’s beloved Discworld novels. Developed by Free League Publishing and Skybound, this officially licensed game lets players create their own adventures within the Invincible universe. It uses the Year Zero Engine, modified to fit the setting’s unique powers and challenges.
This new superhero role-playing game had a very successful funding drive in late 2025, and a 48-page preview guide gave players a first look. Brotherwise Games released a Stormlight Archive setting in 2025, and this new expansion adds another major fantasy world to the tabletop role-playing game. Shadowdark RPG isn’t a new game – it was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2023. It’s a great choice for fans of classic D&D and other tabletop role-playing games, as it’s part of the Old School Revival movement which aims to recapture the feel of traditional dungeon crawls. Shadowdark uses a familiar D20 system, but it’s set in a unique and atmospheric dark fantasy world.
This year, Shadowdark is releasing a huge expansion to its campaign setting. It includes 18 new character classes, ancestries, equipment, and spells, all within a vast new world to explore. This expansion gathers previously online content and adds a lot of new material, making 2026 a fantastic time to try out Shadowdark. Those who backed the Kickstarter can expect their rewards in Spring 2026, and late pledges are open until February 28th.
